Walking around Big Ben took us immediately to the bank of the Thames River which runs through London, and what did we see, but the London Eye!
“I want to ride on that!” I told Kathy. So, off to the Eye we trekked.
The view of London from the Eye was glorious. As you can see, the weather was perfect, amazing for October. Every day had a full sun, no clouds, and in the 80s F.
We took a short cruise on the Thames River that evening, and saw many of the landmarks lighted for the night.
Here is London Bridge – NOT! It is not technically called London Bridge. It is the London Tower Bridge, if you didn’t know…
It was a joy to have Kathy along with me on this trip, her company, her care, her love. She was a 100% support system for me through the 8 days of lectures in many ways that made the travel easier and the trip even more enjoyable.
When lecturing and travelling, I still spend several hours a day solely for practice, which she is used to. She finds ways to keep patiently busy while I’m occupied. So, it was nice to have a couple of days that we could spend together and have solely to ourselves in London after a successful lecture run through the country the week before.
Great photos of a great couple! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for sharing, Evan. I have great respect for CS practitioners’ spouses as well… It must be a great teamwork. What happy couple!
Thanks for sharing the pictures and the happiness I feel for having such a wonderful teacher and letting us share your adventures. This is indeed how we become your family and follow your sincere faith in what it means to be a Christian Scientist through your teachings.
Thanks, Evan, for the sharing. And thank Kathy, too. Her part is absolutely applauded!!!!
