Observe mind instead of body, lest aught unfit for development enter thought.
~ Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 419
Out of thought, out of body, is a direct correlation in metaphysical healing.
The more one spends time observing their body, rather than observing their thought, the more opportunity there is for harmful fears and false beliefs to sneak into consciousness unawares.
The wiser way is to watch thought first and keep out unwanted mental intruders. Then you won’t have to deal with their bad effects later in the body.
Strive for pure spiritual mindedness above all else! Observe Truth, not error.
Stand porter! Grateful for this reminder today Evan to watch thought more and not the body. I need to do this more stringently. Also for yesterday’s message to never give up.
Who or what are we listening to? In my poem “The Eve Dream” the consequence of listening to the serpent, – the belief of any thought outside of infinite Mind (?!), is shown up and the beauty of thought at one with what we truly are, revealed, https://youtu.be/YossLphxSH0
It follows on from our natural obedience to the great commandments, – 100% with God is where we are, 99% is just not good enough and is not possible. We are witness to Spirit and not to anything mortal, witness to Truth, never error.
Excellent Ken!
Error accepted must immediately be rejected! Our birthright gives Mind dominion❣️
I love it, Ken – thank you.
Thank you for sharing, Ken!
Very effective and helpful, Ken. Thank you and thank the reader…excellent on both counts. Really shows we need to listen carefully to ensure we are listening to God, not the serpent in whatever form.
For me it’s like the joy of rarefied air you breath on the top of a mountain vs the heavy polluted atmosphere of a congested city environment.
It’s that refreshing “atmosphere of Love devine” where we can live and move and breathe and give and care and be cared for…..
Beautifully stated!, John !
Thanks! Great reminder. What you see (think) is what you get.

Such a clear message. Thank you!
I loved Evan’s recommendation that we, “keep out unwanted mental intruders.” So important in all areas of life. I picture uninvited visitors being shown to the door and told to stay away from our home, then we turn back and rest in God’s good.
Also I thought of 2 Corinthians 5:8,
“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
Read lesson!
excellent Evan, and great poem Ken, thank you. and yes Gwen,
read the lesson!
Thank you Evan, yes “strive for pure spiritual mindedness above all else! Observe Truth, not error.”
That is the best way to healing. And what Gwen and JHP say is also what I think, to read the Bible Lesson fulfills the advice in Evan`s last sentence in today`s SpiritView, which is most important.
Angie, thank you very much for the article “Begin – and Stay – with God”. That is again a wonderful article which has clear metaphysics in it.
Thank you Ken for the poem, but you did not read it this time which however does not deminish the high quality of the poem and the reading.
Read by my wife, Sue.
Thank you Ken, she reads very poetic, like you yourself♡♡♡
Thanks Evan and every ones comments,The Bible lesson this Sunday say a lot about it. We see the lies we or I have to be sober and vigilant, Appreciate the reminder very much,
