I love to observe Christmas in quietude, humility, benevolence, charity, letting good will towards man, eloquent silence, prayer, and praise express my conception of Truth’s appearing.

I am so thankful for this wonderful discovery of Christian Science, the devotion of MBE to bring to us all the wonders that Christ Jesus shared and demonstrated about God and the truth of our being.
Thank you to Evan ,Kathy and all the support team for this forum of spiritual outreach. My daily go to guidance and encouragement to live Christian Science as much as I am able.
Happy peaceful Christmas to everyone…and may we all feel joy and the ‘ everlasting arms ‘ of harmony supporting us. B.x❣️
Just what you said, BarbaraUK. Love from Barbara, Michigan USA
Amen to that , Barbara . This regular sharing of Christ’s message of peace and joy is the greatest Christmas gift we can daily share – thank you Evan
Feeling so grateful for all of the Love and spiritual treasures shared here
today and always. Thank you, dear Evan and all for such wonderful gifts
of being You/Us – Christ-like and so filled with Love, the feeling of Christmas
is so welcomed into our hearts..
“To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings”
((Mrs. Eddy S&H p.vii: 1-2))
May you all have the spirit of True Christmas be present now and always and
in all ways, this blessed Christmas Eve. So much love to Everyone…
Yes, Evan, I also will observe and have a quiet and peaceful Christmas. I am alone and yet not alone , as God and the Christ are everpresent!
Hi SV friends! I got a message from a friend, using the expression “to be marred”. Could anybody explain, please what it means? Would be very grateful!
Here in Germany today is the “Holy Evening”, we call it. And we celebrate it very intensive, from the afternoon until late Evening, mostly within the family. And I’ll listen to Georg Friedrich Haendl’s ‘The Messiah” and read what Mrs. Eddy says about Christmas.
Happy happy Christmas and lots of Love to Evan and all SV Fans! ❤️
Dear Uta, To mar is to spoil – so if something is marred it is spoilt.
I wish you a very happy peaceful and blessed Christmas in which your joy
and peace cannot be marred, as you enjoy your day with God and His Christ,
and tune into the “Messiah” – a most beautiful and uplifting piece of music.
Also, once again I wish everyone a very happy and joyful Christmas full
of peace and love.
Thank you very much dear Maggie! I do understand it now! To you also a joyful and peaceful Christmas! with Love! ❤️
You are a lamb of God, wed to the Christ – loved and blessed. “Thy Maker is thy husband”
Thank you dear Evan for another wonderful year of Spirit view!! So very grateful for it and for you and for all the great and helpful comments from the faithful readers. Wishing everyone a very blessed Christmas and New Year ❤️
Wishing all a blessed Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thank you for Spiritview!
Love and thanks for Spiritview.
A blessed Christmas to all, whether having big family gatherings or small ones, there are just two of us on the day but we enjoy the peace. I would like to quote the last verse of In the Bleak Midwinter which is my favourite carol. I love the awesome feeling it gives me when I reach the last line:
What can I give Him
Poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would give a lamb
If I were a wise man, I would do my part
Yet what I can, I give Him
Give my heart
Thank you, Linda – I always find the carol, especially that verse, very moving.
especially when in company with others singing it.
The true joy of Christmas is with us everyday. This year since Christmas is on Wednesday it is so meaningful to have a testimony meeting on it! Even if someone can’t get to a church there will be the service from The Mother Church available online and by phone. The Christmas blessings are worldwide always.
Blessed wishes to all the World to behold the Christ message of Love, Peace and unending Life.
Thank you for SV!
A God sent messager for sure.
In response to the question about what “to be marred” means, I looked up “mar” and “marred” in Concord. Mrs. Eddy uses the word a few times – once in Science and Health, and several other times in her other writings. And it appears in 2 hymns. My favorite is this:
Be still, my heart: our God casts out all fears,
Assuring you that God and man are one;
And in that oneness here and now appears
Love’s everlasting life, with death outdone.
Be still, my heart: no lies, no tears, no curse
Can mar the rhythm of God’s universe.
(Christian Science Hymnal, No. 444:3)

Joy and Peace to Everyone!
Thank you very much, dear Jenny for your helpful comment regarding the word “mar” with the beautiful verse from hymn 444! ❤️
Thank you to Evan and all the Spiritview commentators this morning! What glorious messages of love and Truth! I am so grateful! “ the Christ is here, all waves of error breaking” wishing everyone here and around the world the comfort and love of Christ filling their hearts today and every day! Merry Christmas!
I am crying with gratitude for this beautiful SpiritView family who cares so deeply for one another and offer is such beautiful support
But of course, true Christianity, Christian Science, is the basis of this love: Divine Love understood, demonstrated, given and expressed within us, through us.
Thank you, dearest Evan. Thanks to our Father-Mother God, our Master Christ Jesus, and our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. Thanks to each of you, and Love to all. May you FEEL this Love!! I feel so comforted, knowing that I have this family of Love.

Thankyou Evan for all you share on Spiritview, it is so inspiring and helpful in our daily life and leads us to study more MBE writings and The Bible. A wonderful joyous Christmas to all.
As I am watching the many birds that keep coming to the feeder -this cold winter’s day..
there is one sparrow that seems oblivious to all the others flitting around. It has been/is
very calmly sitting in the midst of all the commotion of birds coming and going and seems
oblivious to them… just munching away at the food lovingly provided for them all. I
get a sense of peace watching this dear little creation of God’s Love and the serenity this
one in particular, feels, is a great inspiration of what I believe, Mrs. Eddy refers to in the
passage above, that Evan shared with us in – observing Christmas in “the quietude,
humility, benevolence, charity, letting good will towards man, eloquent silence, prayer,
and praise express [my/our] conception of Truth’s appearing.”
The stark contrast and beauty of the red cardinal against the white pristine snow that has
gently fallen … also like an angelic visitor from the heavens … touches my heart on this
lovely day.
Peace and Love to you all.
Evan, thank you so much for this wonderful gift of SpiritView. It truly is a Comforter. Thank you to all the SV contributors and all the spiritual impartations you share on a regular basis, even those who do not contribute audibly,. The thought is always there blessing all of us and the world. Merry Christmas to you all.

In December 1909 Eddy wrote a note to her staff which included “…happy Christmas…a feast of Soul…”
