Rejoicing in Real Substance

January 10, 2014 | 6 comments

The best things in life are not discerned with the physical senses. It’s the substance of Spirit that brings trustworthy joy, deep-rooted peace, fulfilling love and life worth living.

People often think that they need something material to feel happy or comforted. This is not true. It is possible to find abundance without money, love without recognition and health without a prescription. These, at their best, are spiritual, and freely bestowed by God. They appear to be a secret and hidden to material sense, but are concrete and fixed to spiritual sense.

Be sure to use your spiritual sense today and find the best life has to offer!

“Christians rejoice in secret beauty and bounty, hidden from the world, but known to God.”
Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health, p. 15.

  1. I was born in the year 1936 with Cerebral Palsy, to a Jewish family not yet knowing of Christian Science. In those days I was forced to learn how to play by myself, love myself and appreciate myself. I, like Mrs Eddy, was being readied for the receiving of C/S. During my life, I have lost many a loved one, but didn’t go through the intense feeling of loss as others did even before C/S came into my life. I completely owe this to God for pulling me through all kinds of adversity.

  2. I am brand new to your site and grateful to have this inspiration. I have just come off balancing my checkbook and knowing that all is provided by God, good, abundance and Truth. I have enjoyed following you on blogs and at our Church where you lectured. I look forward to opening this site regularly. Thank you, Evan.

  3. How true Evan, using spiritual sense brings true happiness n abundance of good in our life. Thanks for this reminder.
