See what God sees

June 6, 2022 | 22 comments

What are you looking at today? Are you seeing what God sees?

When you see what God sees, you’ll find something good to be grateful for.

When you see what God sees, you’ll see beyond disease, pain, and suffering, to health, harmony, and order.

When you see what God sees, you’ll find abundance where the human mind finds lack.

When you see what God sees, you’ll find reasons to be happy, buoyancy in your step, and joy in your day.

When you see what God sees, life goes oh so much better!

“Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law” Psalms 119:18.

  1. Thank you Evan! This is so beautiful and exactly what was suggested to me yesterday to bring into my daily treatment for myself and the world, It also supports all the wonderful ideas I heard from the events of Annual Meeting 2022 this past weekend. What a blessing!

  2. First thought which came to me after I pondered “see what God sees” is the melody from the blessed solo “Open Mine Eyes That I May See” which was sung as a solo in a nearby Christian Science church by a soloist with a beautiful tenor voice. The picture of that moment replays every time the words “open mine eyes that I may see” are replayed. What a blessing today, right before local, mid term elections coming up Tuesday. Seeing the way God sees immediately breaks the fear of knowing what and whom to vote for. I love to see the way God sees, then reflect all the good He gives, to see clearly. I am grateful.

    1. Beautiful post today, Evan. I love the image of nature but with contrasted colors- similar to seeing a different reality-very powerful!

I love that song, “Open my eyes”I found this contemporary version led by a guitar as well. I listen to this from time to time for inspiration. You may need to copy and paste in browser.

Grateful for this each morning congregation!

    2. Yes, it did work, M and it is lovely. And chilisands,
that beautiful hymn came to mind (Mind) when I
had read it also. Have a great day everyone.

  3. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
    (2 Corinthians 4:17, 18)
I seem to have to have to constantly return to this truth, remembering that these mirages always eventually fade back into their eternal nothingness. Disappearing as deceitfully as they appeared,
So when I find that I am looking at Life, myself, through hazy, old, worn, cracked, mortal mind imagination goggles, and accepting that view as my reality, I must at once replace them with safety goggles (the understanding of the Truth of being) which protect my eyes (Spiritual discernment,—not material but mental.” The definition of “eyes” as given in the Glossary of “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 586): )
Ever Grateful for the practical application of Christian Science and for non-judgmental practitioners who help remove the crust from my eyes early in the morning so that I may enjoy the glories of one endless day.

    1. Thank you Love for your wonderful comments. Your use of metaphors makes me think you are a poet, or should be! Very helpful.

I just finished watching the live online broadcast of The Mother Church Annual Meeting. No surprise that I’m feeling uplifted and inspired by so many things I heard. The replay will be available shortly on christianscience.com. Through the projects and activities of the church so many are working toward the goal of helping all “see what God sees,” and I am very grateful.

Evan thanks for the watercolor painting above, it’s beautiful. I wonder who is the artist?

Lots of Love to everyone today!

  4. Chilesands, I did not see yours . I was writing mine.
    One Mind. Love it.
    Happy happy God day everyone!

  5. I like this one Evan, “When you see what God sees, you’ll see beyond disease, pain, and suffering, to health, harmony, and order.”
    Thank you!

  6. Thank you Evan for another inspired message this morning. Asking God in prayer to show us how He sees often brings the illumination needed for progress and healing.
And thank you Love for the contemporary passage from 2nd Corinthians. Love your analogy of taking off the old, worn, cracked glasses of mortal mind and putting on the protective safety goggles of spiritual discernment! This heightened perspective shows us that “The depth, breadth, height, might, majesty, and glory of infinite Love fill all space.” Science and Health page 520

  7. Thank you everyone! Perfect comments….

Look always for the positive for the negative is No-thing❣️

  8. Thank you very much Evan!

The verse from. Psalms you mention here – “open thou mine eyes that I may see wondrous things, thou doest” I love very much and will pray with!

Such a refreshing Foto, thanks for it!♡

  9. I ask myself that daily, sometimes, multiple times: what does God see, what is God seeing? And I remember what MBE answered once when she was asked how do you heal. She said something to the effect of “I lift my thought to God”. To me that seems very similar if not the same as “seeing what God sees”!
