In all the bombardment of chaos on tv it is often difficult to see through it all. We just have to gaze upon that which is good in our world and magnify that in our thought. We are the sculptures so we need to maintain the perfect idea.
Often I have to remind myself that there are two perspectives on reality but only one reality. Seeing the Good should not surprise me but always delight me.
In a recent “Shared Reflections” talk by Jill Gooding, CSB, (hear it on JSH-online)
she uses the following illustration: If one focuses on a certain spot in a Hidden Images picture, the image appears which was seemingly so hidden before. I love this! Good is the Kingdom of Heaven before our feet! At hand! Present! Here, Now! We are learning to discern it, through the wonderful teachings of Christian Science…to search for Good with all our hearts ( and focus) trusting that it will (and does) appear sometime and in some way. What a worthy high goal!! Isn’t it being truly Christian to follow Jesus’ teachings?
