Stay mentally productive

October 20, 2020 | 23 comments

Are you mentally productive today? Has your thought expanded, gained fresh inspiration, and soared to new heights of understanding?

As a child of God, you reflect the productive and profitable thinking of the one Mind.

There is never a stale moment in Mind. Mind is always active, thinking, understanding, knowing, and creating good effects. This Mind is not lazy, sleepy, apathetic, disengaged, or absent. It’s alive, awake, alert, attentive, engaged, and productive!

This Mind is your Mind!

Divine Mind is always coming up with new ideas, fresh inspiration, and expanded possibilities. Mind knows no limits, no obstacles, no barriers to progress, no stoppage of harmonious and productive action. What Mind thinks and understands, Mind makes happen. Mind is constantly productive!

Claim the one Mind as your Mind and be Mind in action. Let Mind lead, guide and direct your thought. Let divine Mind take over your life, and you will be productive beyond anything you’ve known.

“Many years ago the author made a spiritual discovery, the scientific evidence of which has accumulated to prove that the divine Mind produces in man health, harmony, and immortality” (Science and Health, p. 380).

  1. I love every word here today Evan! It’s the basis to go for in consciousness regardless of any suggestions from mortal mind , good or bad…. ‘ let Divine Mind take over your life’ … says everything we need. Thank you so much❣️

  2. Thank you so much for freshening my thinking this morning! It is active thinking rather than dull. I am excited to go about my day.

  3. Thank you Evan for sharing this “beyond earth’s remotest border” view ~ Isa 54:2 ~ “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;” My. 158:9 ~ “We live in an age of Love’s divine adventure to be All-in-all.” I am so grateful that our divine Mind creates us to be aware of this view of Heaven, here and now. Man is so blessed and loved.

  4. Good morning World !!! This is what I so love about Christian Science, about what it teaches of God and Her spiritual universe… “the boundless basis”… the limitless source and resource of Mind, There is never no where to go, nothing to do, in terms of daily life or life span. Being is useful, and productive, and generous, and is as close as the next God-sent thought… I have a sense of burgeoning, billowing, gratitude and joy ! Love to all !

  5. Hymn #51 popped into thinking this morning after reading these inspirational Mind-thoughts.
“Eternal Mind the Potter is, And thought th’e eternal clay: The hand that fashions is divine, His works pass not away. Man is the noblest work of God, His beauty, power and grace, Immortal: perfect as his Mind Reflected face to face. God could not make imperfect man His model infinite: Unhallowed thought He could not plan, Love’s work and Love must fit. Life, Truth and Love the pattern make, Christ is the perfect heir: The clouds of sense roll back, and show The form divinely fair. God’s will is done: His kingdom come: The Potter’s work is plain. The longing to be good and true Has brought the light again. And man does stand as God’s own child, The image of His love. Let gladness ring from every tongue And heaven and earth approve.”
    Happy sculpting today Everyone!

  6. Perfect post for me today and I’m sure for others as well given their comments above. Thank you, Evan.

  7. Mind is all-inclusive. Wonderful comments & inspiration as EVAN’s “shepherding the flock.” The lamb feeling is a precious thing.
I am feeling cared for, watched over, & protected.
    My heartfelt appreciation.

  8. “Let our ordered lives confess, the beauty of thy peace”cant find the hymn at the moment but helps along with all comments here.
Uplifted thought is so appreciated. Thanks again

  9. In Miscellany pg. 160, Mary Baker Eddy says “To live so as to keep human consciousness in constant relation with the divine, the spiritual, and the eternal, is to individualize infinite power; and this is Christian Science.” And in Science and Health page 261, “Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts.”

Looking forward to a day of spiritual progression, thought expansion, and blessed renewal! Thank you Evan and all for today’s inspiration!

  10. Great topic…..Stay mentally productive…..”Be firm in your understanding that the divine Mind governs, and that in Science man reflects God’s government.” S&H,p. 393

  11. What a brilliant reminder of mans capacity as the image of God!! As awake and alert as the universe is infinite!! Thank you Evan! And thanks for the comments included! “ awake, alert, attentive, engaged” are amongst my favorite comments , but the promise of increased productivity because Mind is always productive and active were also particularly relavent to me today!! This post has become a daily routine for me and I am so grateful for it and the “friends” I feel I know because they share articles and comments which inspire and bless each other!!
    Thank you so very much!!

Evan, this is exactly what I needed today. Thanks so very much!

  13. In the Green Bible (NRSV) Sect 2 with Rev. says, “A door stood open!” I love its use of the exclamation point! So there’s always new solutions, new views and inspiration, surprising adventures around the corner. Evan’s blog is an example of being open and productive. There is no power to shut the door of freshness and the application of new ideas! This is true not only in our lives, but in our churches and country, as well!
    Blessings of newness to all!

  14. This family is the best!! I often reference II COR. 10:5…bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

    Kudos to Angie, as always!

  15. Thank you very much Evan !!
These spiritual views remind me what Mrs. Eddy sayadvises us in one of her writings, namely : … work, work, work, watch and pray”. And I am very grateful that the dear members of my branch church elected me for several church offices which keep me mentally productive and surely lead to spiritual progress!
