The benefits of gratitude

March 30, 2012 | 4 comments

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more….It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

  1. Thank you for this. Over the past year, in a time of great stress and sadness, I have tried to turn every negative thought into a prayer of thankfulness and gratitude. Example, when fretting of yard and house work, I am grateful I have a house and a yard and the health to care for it. When fuming over a hectic compute to work, gratitude for a car, a parking place, and a safe arrival. Grateful that God in in control and that the material world that jars us and seems to cause such pain is a phantom of reality.

  2. Mary Baker Eddy certainly knew the amazing power of
gratitude: she established our weekly Wednesday evening Testimony Meetings, where so much gratitude is expressed! What a feast these are!

Beautiful reminder, Evan. And the photo says
a Thousand Words about it, huh!

    Gratefully yours,

  3. Oops! Spirit View and SILVA Mind Body Healing Starter Kit are using the same photo of the golden corn field!! I found it when looking up Melody Beattie quotations. I love the quote on gratitude…thank you

  4. Beautiful. Has been my verb for quite sometime now. Thank you for the always lovely and timely reminders. Love, love, love.
