The joy of giving

Here is a short video clip that will quickly humble you if you are comfortably sitting in a nice house with plenty of food to eat and a bed to lie in at night…

  1. Oh, my. Here is what I wrote in the comments section under this remarkable video:

    When I saw this humble, beautiful man shaving, bathing, hugging the forgotten ones, I started bawling. Yes, the only joy in life is giving. My joy is giving to rescued animals; they, like humans, are deserving, and so appreciative of affection.

    This video reminds me of words from a poem by Mary Baker Eddy:
    “Fed by Thy love divine we live,
    For Love alone is Life;
    And life most sweet, as heart to heart
    Speaks kindly when we meet and part.”

  2. What a stunning (as in, this STUNNED me, to see this dear man so clear on Christ Jesus’ message (perhaps without ever reading or hearing it!) to “Love One Another,” to: “Feed My Sheep,” “Do Unto Others as Ye Would Have Them Do Unto You,” and other of his poignant requests.

    I remain JARRED by this, and must GET its diving
    message to me. What am I doing for the 4,000 homeless in my area? Am I praying??

    Truth indeed calls us, wakes us up, needs us…..
