Too much rain in Australia

March 7, 2012 | 4 comments

Back to Sydney I flew last Saturday for a noon-time lecture at the downtown Reading Room in that city.
Rain, rain, rain…in voluminous amounts this part of the country was receiving that week.
Reports were that the size of the flooding was the territorial size of France, the most rain received in decades…torrential.
Years ago the weather scourge was drought. In recent times, it’s been too much water. Australia needs our prayers for a happy balance in the middle.
In the Kingdom of Heaven there is never too much or too little, but always the right amount. “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” My prayer is that God’s weather-will is done in Australia.
The rain didn’t stop people from coming to the lecture, though. The room was packed with a few standing in the back.

The lecture on finding the love that makes family and relationships work was well received and many hearts were touched in deep and meaningful ways.
Then off to Perth that evening for two more lectures, one each on Sunday and Monday.
And I soon discovered that Perth is a long way from Sydney. It’s like flying from the east coast of the USA to the west coast. And a three hour time difference too. Australia is big!

  1. What a beautiful reading room! I’m glad to hear the drought is over, at least in some places (or in all?) And yes, balance is a perfect measure.
