Last Christmas, my family played around in the snow in the Blue Mountains of Oregon with another family that had four teens. At the end of a busy boisterous day, one of the youngsters exclaimed, “I can’t find my cell phone!” He hadn’t a clue where it had gone.
He was assured that everything would turn out okay. The parents shared a few comforting words, and a few prayers were sent his way declaring that no good thing could get lost.
The family did buy him another phone later, because the need for communication was pressing.
But, guess what!
Five months later, a man vacationing in the same area said his son found the cell phone. And it was still working! They said it looked like new and the battery had charge.
And, as it turned out, there was another member in the family that needed a mobile right then, so the timing was perfect.
A life of faith and trust can be full of unexpected surprises—pleasant ones!
A few weeks ago I lost my engagement ring. I have been married 16 years, and the ring is very special to me. I am trying not to panic. I want to see that no good thing is lost…
I deal with this every day. It’s becoming a natural. As I have said many times, I have 24/7 Nurse Aide help, and one of my Aides is always forgetting where she put something. Most of things that gets LOST to her way of thinking, is her wallet, house keys, cell phone & sometimes her very important papers. She really makes me work in C/S by instinctively citing to myself that nothing is lost to Divine Mind or nothing can be hidden that can not be revealed. You should see her surprised face when she finds them.
Years ago I lost the diamond out of my wedding ring. I had no earthly idea where it was.At first I was agitated, but then I became still and prayed that I couldn’t be separated from a right idea any more than an idea could be separated from the Mind that made it. The message was loud and clear: go back into the garden. We had a huge vegetable garden at the time…I went out the back door, and walked into the middle of the garden, saw something sparkle in the dirt, and bent over to pick up my diamond! Your ring is safe and Mind can take you where to it! I was so grateful for this evidence of God with us! Divine Love meeting the human need.
God can take you right to it I meant to say–should have previewed my comments!
Here is a link to a lecture by Beth Packer – I think in here, amongst other diamond ideas is a bit where she talks about finding a lost wallet or something like that – its really interesting. Pretty sure it is in this lecture! If you can’t click on it just copy and paste
