  1. Thanks, Evan! What a Wonderful Weekend of Passionate Support and Action demonstrated all over the World!! Here is one of my favorite quotes from one of the Speakers at the Women’s March: “Anger can be transmuted into fuel, so that we can show up with passion, but that passion has to be rooted in compassion and love and prayer.” Onward, Upward and Forward! Passionate Love and Blessings to All!

  2. so maybe a more appropriate picture would have been a person studying scripture
or praying…. Our ‘culture’ doesn’t see this as work…. we know it to be the “first” work
    we do

  3. I don’t think I would be considered lazy, watch no TV during the day and very little in the evening…but it still seems like I get distracted from my real work of “watching and praying.” Not always using my time well. Ugh! The internet and e-mail seem to be the biggest time consumers. Any helpful ideas out there? Thanks! (=

    1. Dear Rhonda, “Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires…” (S&H pg.1) . Your desire to use your time more wisely is your prayer. God already hears you and will bless you in this prayerful activity.

    2. Hi Rhonda,
I think the internet and email can be very helpful tools in ‘watching and praying’. There are a lot of Good things on the internet that expose the lies that seem all too frequent these days, that helps us see what needs correcting in our thought and the world’s, I believe. TV seems to be a distraction in many ways, with commercials and shows and news that tend to try to lead us down the wrong path. We have to try to keep our mind filled with Truth and Love and try to see what things inspire and uplift our thought, like SpiritView, ; ) , and ‘stand porter at the door of thought’ trying to let only good in. I know it is not easy to do. E-mail can also help us help others and that is a worthy activity.

  4. Maybe God hears our prayers…..However , God does not forgive sin…

Ok… I know… an easy puzzle for you all on a rainy Monday in these parts…

    Respectfully

  5. Thank you Evan. We need to work with a smile (gratitude), much like “Happy” still does.

Hi Ho Hi Ho, it’s off to work we go!
We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig dig
In our mine the whole day through
To dig dig dig dig dig dig dig dig
It’s what we like to do

The above lyrics, are Christian Science in action of seven little men, that we may emulate.

  6. I once read a definition for “enthusiasm. It was :”in God”
That’s helped me lots if I feel I’m labouring in my prayers.
I stop and remind myself I’m always enthusiastic about this work.

  7. I haven’t quite made up my mind. My life is rather lazy but I can’t help that. I don’t see it as a bad thing. Watching a great deal of tv is informative and I seldom watch commercials as I my tv selections are recorded. Life is very good.

    1. If our goal is to experience the reality of Christ….
Then we ask “What would Jesus do?”

My problem with tv is that even without the commercials, the content is intended to get a reaction from you…… ratings depend on it… therefore perhaps they misplace the true source of Truth…. yet the subtle manipulation of your mind and thoughts is the only way they can accomplish their mission statement to all financial investors…
I agree life is good and you are an example of how powerful beliefs are.
      you believe life is good…

Blessing and comfort in knowing mesmerism and animal magnetism don’t exist because there is no mortal mind to produce them

  8. Read this a bit late—after 9 p.m.—but I’d like to share two “rules” from Thomas Jefferson. One is “Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today,” and the other “Nothing is troublesome that we do willingly.” These are from the “Ten Rules of Jefferson” that we got when we visited Monticello. I have the rules framed and in the downstairs bathroom. We see them every day. Certainly our study of the Bible and Christian Science fit into these categories, as well as work for church and our fellow man.

    1. Thank you for this Daphne….Absolutely wonderful….

For all of you political junkies… Jeffersons Inaugural speech is incredible..

  9. Thank you Evan for your todays SV and for the opportunity to talk about this theme. And thank you all friends above! What comes to my mind when I read Evans SV is the sentence from Mary Baker Eddy, I think from Miscellanious Writings: ” work, work, work, whatch and pray”. I think that says all – of course everything with devine Love, God, good.
