Watch your conclusions

A woman listed out a number of morally offensive relationship troubles she faced in her life, and concluded her summary with, “They make me sick to my stomach.”
She was so deep into her mental woes she didn’t draw a connection between how she felt in the body and what she was facing outwardly. But I saw the connection. She was calling for help because of pain in the body. But after hearing her story, the pain was obviously not in the physical body. It was in the mental turmoil that needed unraveling in her thinking. Once the error was pointed out, relief was quick to be found.
The words, “It makes me sick to my stomach,” are not as innocent as they appear.
If you want to prevent sickness in the body don’t let external conditions make you feel metaphorically “sick to your stomach.” Challenge the temptation! See evil for the evil it is, but don’t let it become a reality in your mind. Undo its claims by understanding God’s power and presence better, and spare yourself harm.

  1. How we react to the News Media or to other persons problems, especially to loved ones or to a mistake we have made could and does result to an illness. Man doesn’t catch cold, neither is he prone to outside epidemics. The number one and only reason for man getting sick is the descriptions of diseases heard by individuals and the media. So be aware of conclusions other than above and stay well.
