  1. Such a cute and innocent picture expressing goodness and kindness. Really touched my heart.
We daily learn the importance of being nice. “Let unselfishness, goodness, mercy, justice, health, holiness, love – the kingdom of heaven reign within you, and sin disease and death will diminish until they finally disappear.”
Yes the most important thing is to be good and nice and if we do so, the natural consequence will follow. viz. we will be blessed with an abundance of good – good job, good status, etc. the things considered important in the material world.
We need to be good for the sake of goodness, we need to be good because we love God and not with an ulterior motive of gaining the worldly things. Our motives should always be pure then the good things we do, bear fruit.
Thanks Evan for this wonderful reminder of giving priority to goodness over importance.

  2. Goodness, if it is to express a worldly view of man is of little importance as to the true expression as an image and likeness of God as a reflection of the Love that God is.

  3. How sweet! One thing I am learning in Christian Science is to assume everyone else is as sensitive as I am. If I treat others how I wish to be treated, I may not get the same back, but I have done my best, and God will reward me.

  4. What a sweet picture of innocent Love! I’ve never liked the word, “nice”, as it has an underlying quality of being “fake”. In fact, it’s easy to be “nice”, in other words, to look good on the outside by saying or doing the “right” thing to get approval,……but the Real Question is: Can we really be Spiritually Loving? In Christian Science and in Christianity this means: Are we seeing our friends and neighbors the way God sees them, as pure and spiritual and good?

  5. This is just what I needed this morning in my relationship with someone who seems to be very concerned with self-importance. I have thought of even Jesus’ disciples as considering which one was more important. We are all equally important and loved in God’s eyes!

  6. Thank you, Evan. The photo verifies we are both important and equally nice at the same instance. “You can’t have one without the other.” Why? Reflected Love.”

  7. This is such a gentle reminder of the powerful simplicity of goodness. Thank you for the inspiration.

  8. As I grow older (?) Bad comment. I find I have tend to loose patience. I need to express more of God’ Love. I am sure goodness will replace the notions I sometimes fail to recognize. Thanks, for the focus and reminder as I improve my adventure.
