There is a story of a fan praising a famous pianist and saying: I wish I could play the piano like you do. The pianist answered: no, you don’t or you would be practicing like I do 8 hours a day. NO short cuts to success. In our spiritual study either…we have to practice, practice, practice. No short cuts to the kingdom of heaven! Getting self out of the way…dematerializing and spiritualizing our daily lives….beholding the perfect man when the material pictures presents something else ….I guess we need to be practicing more than 8 hours a day! Love this, Evan, thank you. Got me thinking early in the morning about the place (spiritual consciousness) that is worth going!
My close cousin who isn’t a Christian Scientist but a retired Psyciatrist came across tremendous pressure and asked me “What shall I do?”
Now a couple of years ago, she did go to a reading room and purchased, upon my recommendation the Text Book, S&H by MBE. What she did with it was put the book into her bookcase, never reading it. I told her to go back to the C/S reading room and ask the Librain to help her but she refuses too. What more can I do if she shows no receptiveness.
Can the readers of Evan’s blog give me any suggestions?
Pray to know your cousin is receptive to the Christ Truth. It’s innate to her because God made her that way. Know that the Christ is communicating to her and the communication is always from God to man. No intermediary necessary. Trust God to shepherd His sheep, Tobias. Your right thought about her will open the floodgates of heaven for her. How good of you to care about her.
I agree, trust other minds to God. He is in charge of your dear cousin and just know that she can hear Him. Trust that when she is ready she will take the book off the shelf and read it. At least she has a copy so the first step has already been taken. Your prayers will do more for her than talk, so just trust her to God and He will do the rest.

Yes, in our healing practice, we must stay the course.
Thanks, Evan
Got it.

Perhaps it just isn’t your job. Just hand her over to the Father and rest in the knowledge that He will take care of your dear one.

Thanks Evan, I love Beverly Sills.
What a sweet, helpful discussion all around. Thanks all.
