  1. Thank you so much for this very timely message, Evan. Is there such a thing as an
“ordinary” person? – I ponder. Out of 8 billion people in the world, I find it fascinating
that each person is unique in their own way, spiritually and all children of God.
The graphic is very sweet and reminds me of when I was a child. I would always pick
flowers that were in season for my Mom, even if it was a wild violet, or dandelion.
The thought gesture, no matter how small or seemingly “ordinary” was always loved
    and appreciated.

    1. Your post, Carol, inspired me to look up the word
“ordinary” and here are just three of the interesting definitions I found”

      1. Being ordinary makes you a blank canvas.
You can become anything you want if you want to. There is no pressure from your previous achievements or failures and anything is possible.

2..A hallmark of a very ordinary person is their preference for simplicity. They prefer a straightforward, uncomplicated approach to life – whether it’s their fashion style, their choice of food, or their daily routine.

      3. Can an ordinary person be extraordinary?
As one of my heroes, Greg Bloomfield taught me, the only difference between ordinary people and extraordinary people is publicity. That simple. Everyone has extraordinary potential and so many people are doing amazing things, we just don’t hear about it.

      1. Echo, echo, e c h o, simple is my preference, without pressure, to simply be the ordinary person, skip the pressure (from the past or from mistakes or from fame) Great news after reading Maggie’s definitions, WHY WOULD I WANT TO BE SOMEONE ELSE, AFTER WORKING SO HARD TO BE ME? Thank you Maggie, for taking the conversation to sharing a simple observation.

        1. The thought came to me later, Chilesands, of a citation from 2 Corinthians (11:3): about the simplicity that is in Christ..

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”

        2. Enjoying Maggie and Chilesands conversation – and BIG thanks to Evan for the Spiritview inspirations. Ordinary Richard

        1. … And chilisands, Thank you. I like your question,
“Why would I [we] want to be anyone else…?
When we are all created in God’s image and
likeness and unique in our own special ways.
          So true.

    2. Thank you all C thank you all thank you Evan Fir tiis brilliant topic. When we know and recognize that every person iin this planet is a unique and precious , then God can smiles more often!

  2. Truth frees and spiritualises thought from false claims of matter.

Then we experience the harmony that is ever present.

Never admit matter. Never admit a claim of anything to harmonise,

Thank you, God. Thank you Mary Baker Eddy.

  3. Thank you Evan – I’ve been working with these symptoms lately …
Who remembers that patience, forgiveness, abiding faith, and affection, are the symptoms by which our Father indicates the different stages of man’s recovery from sin and his entrance into Science?
(Miscellaneous Writings 1883–1896, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 100:28–32 2nd Who)

    1. A rrally wonderful article, dear J ! -♡

  4. As Science and Health states, what we most need the prayer of desire for growth in grace, which includes meekness.
