You have a good Life

“Don’t let a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life.”

~ Author Unknown

If trouble ever hits, keep your perspective! Your Life is in God, and it’s always bigger, broader and more enduring than any trouble your face.

In midst of turmoil, it can sometimes feel like our whole life is in turmoil because of the trial of the moment. But it is not. Your Life is in God and is always much bigger and grand than any problem of the moment.

Troubles are temporary. Life is eternal!

Troubles have solutions. God knows the solution!

Troubles may look big to the human mind, but they are solvable with divine Mind.

Look beyond your troubles to the reality of God. The eternal goodness of God is present to get you out of trouble and move you to something better.

You have a good Life to live, and it’s forever yours to enjoy. God is your Life! No trouble of the world is ever going to take that truth away from you.

  1. A perfect reminder to maintain perspective when dealing with a challenge or moment of difficulty. Thank you for this lovely idea to hold onto today. It was needed.

  2. I Love the message and sweet photo today! So calming and reassuring. It is so pertinent to what seems to be such a chaotic and troubling world of late with many
challenges of fear mongering, world economy, etc. It is very helpful to have these Truths to turn to.

  3. Thank you Evan. Love that you have a photo of a dog for this one because dog’s express so much gratitude each day. My dog doesn’t know what money is, is completely unaware of world events or predictions of disaster in the news. She does not plan for her retirement and fret over the movements of the economy or the stock market.
Each morning, she greets me excited about the day. When I am preparing her breakfast, she gets a dog toy and lays it by the kitchen. She loves to sniff which flavor of food she gets each morning. And then, she gets to go outside and generally runs through the door excited regardless of the weather. When she comes back in, if I haven’t already filled up her water bowl, as I put it down, she comes over and licks my hand as if to say “thank you for the fresh water.”
She is excited if we are going for a walk, if she hears the words “load up” for a drive or an adventure outdoors. She has no idea what that adventure will be but still she is excited. What adventure are we on today expressing God? Looking at all the variety we have in the grocery store, are we grateful for all that is provided? Just look at all the choices of apples and now the new Cosmic Crisps! Wow! When we go out into the wilderness, sometimes there are huckleberries to eat along the trail. We are in heaven! The abundance is incrediable! Sure, we can focus on the one thing that appears to go “bad” in our life. But, sometimes what we see as “bad” is a change that appears scary to us and in fact it ends up being a really wonderful thing! We are so blessed! :). What things are you grateful for today?

    1. Kirsten you described the experience my dog and I share! I, too, see her as an example of joy, gratitude and readiness that often refocuses my attitude and reminds me of what is truly important. Thank you for sharing this morning.

  4. I am grateful for these helpful daily reminders from
Evan. Pg 349 Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy
Line10. Two essential points: that neither Life nor man dies
and that God is not the author of sickness . A great reminder
In these troubling tome. My love for dogs is added here!

  5. Thank you Evan and everyone that has commented!

I realized a few years ago that if we’re not watchful, past troubles, even if now resolved, can seem like heavy rocks added to a backpack we’re carrying on our back, weighing us down. For example, I have a friend that got food poisoning from eating potato salad once and since that occurred he has refused to eat potato salad again due to the bad memory of that incident and the lingering fear that it could happen again. Even people that practice Christian Science can seem weighed down by past issues if they continue to focus on the details of the issue instead of focusing on, and being grateful for, the spiritual growth that occurred. I love the following statement from page 66 of Science & Health:

Trials are proofs of God’s care.

Trials, if resolved completely through prayer, cause us to realize God, Life, Truth, Love, etc., more clearly and constantly in our experience. Trials cause us to prove, by gaining a clearer understanding of God and God’s idea, that God exists and is in control and that everything is God’s manifestation. But if we still have lingering fears that we are at risk of experiencing the same trial again, or fear future trials, it’s important to recognize those thoughts are not from God (they are error) and continue praying until we completely realize we are expressions of an all-harmonious God and therefore can only experience harmony. Any “trial” is just an illusion that seems to hide the truth of harmony that already exists….NOW!

  6. This lift is very strong and helpful – thank you Evan, and to all commenters.

Upon going through and tidying some papers today I came across the following I think it is quite relevant to this Daily Lift,. I would like to share it with you. I don’t where where it came from, but here it is:-

    E-Mail FROM GOD
    TO: You
    Date: Today
    From God – The Boss
    Subject: Yourself
    Reference Life

This is God. Today I will be handling All of your problems for you. I do not need your help. So, have a nice day.

    I love you,

    GOD

    P.S. And remember….

If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do NOT attempt to resolve it yourself!! Kindly put it into the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY time. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.

    P..P.S.
Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.
