You have perfect memory

Do you realize that you possess perfect memory? Yep, as a child of God, you have been endowed with the capacity to remember and know any truth that you need to know at any moment you need to know it.

Understanding the truth about memory rests upon understanding the truth about Mind.

As Christian Science teaches, there is one Mind, the Mind of God. This Mind is eternal, and its ability to remember is eternal too.

This Mind never wears out, ages, deteriorates, or forgets.

The one Mind has a perfect memory.

As a child of God, you express the capacities and abilities of the one Mind. The one Mind is perfect. Your Mind is perfect. The one Mind remembers. You remember. The one Mind never forgets. You never forget.

To demonstrate the truth about your perfect spiritual memory, it’s critical to not let mortal theories about mind creep into your perspective. The physical view of mind must be rejected.

The physical view teaches that mind is in the brain and is subject to loss. It further explains that since your mind is material, it is subject to material conditions such as disease and deterioration. It is a lose-lose scenario from the beginning.

But Christ came to save us from these erroneous conclusions of the mortal mind. Jesus Christ demonstrated that our Mind is God, outside the brain. Jesus’ body laid in the tomb for three days after his crucifixion. The brain was not functioning. The body was mindless. Yet, Jesus raised that body from the tombstone. How? Not through the brain, but through the might and power of the one Mind he reflected. Jesus had absolute dominion over the brain. And he still had perfect memory after the resurrection. His knowledge and understanding was never stored in a brain. It was in Mind, which is eternal, and it had never ceased to function on the cross.

Our Mind is God too. God is a perfect Mind. God has a perfect memory. God stays healthy forever, and so does His Mind, which is our Mind.

Claim your perfect Mind today. Identify with divine Mind, and not with brain. Know your immortal memory and expect to reflect its soundness every moment of your life.

Mary Baker Eddy wrote,

“If delusion says, “I have lost my memory,” contradict it. No faculty of Mind is lost. In Science, all being is eternal, spiritual, perfect, harmonious in every action. Let the perfect model be present in your thoughts instead of its demoralized opposite. This spiritualization of thought lets in the light, and brings the divine Mind, Life not death, into your consciousness” Science and Health, p. 407.

You reflect the perfect memory of the one divine Mind!

  1. even already in my youthtime I found it no good to think that the brain is understanding all what Jesus and MBEddy is teaching. I went to sunday school since I was ten. So, I am very grateful, dear Evan, that you give us this great Truth starting the day with. That means also, listen to Gods commands for today.

  2. Very helpful thoughts. Thank you. I stopped and laughed out loud half way through it and said, “It’s like the “cloud”. It isn’t really but that was how I visualized “the Cloud” until someone explained it to me. God has perfect memory so I have perfect memory. As we get older friends and family talk about losing “their” memory a great deal. This article is very helpful in denying that. Thank you.

  3. Hi Evan! Somehow you always pick topics I most need help with! I bet others here feel the same way too! A BIG heartfelt thank you!!! to you and yours for continuing this truly inspiring daily blog!

  4. Perfect topic, Evan, for today’s so-called “Aging Baby Boomers”! There is so much “mortal mind garbage” out there constantly saying that as one gets older, one starts to lose their memory, or even their ability to think. I’m just so grateful that I was taught in Christian Science that what we call the “material brain” isn’t the source or container of Intelligence or Memory. Mind is not found in matter. We all reflect the One Mind or God, so this Mind is ours to use forever. Thank you again for this perfect topic. Love and Good Thinking to All!

  5. Thank you Evan! I’ve found this idea so valuable. In finding lost items, I often stop and say “God knows where it is so I know!” Then I usually get an idea that leads me right to the object. Also, its important to not think of children as limited by brain. In education, there is a lot of brain research which is really attaching a lot of limits and disorders on children as well. As a teacher, I try to know that my students are unlimited in their abilities and and completely governed by their maker. We all reflect the perfect Mind-God.

  6. Thanks so much for this timely inspiration. Mary Baker Eddy says somewhere in Science and Health, I don’t remember the exact quotation, but essentially that “neither age nor accident can interfere with the senses of Soul.” Memory is one of these senses and I have found that my mental capabilities have increased with age, not diminished. I am so deeply grateful for Christian Science and the truths it gives us to live by.

  7. Here is a good Bible verse that might fit in the overall picture of God’s memory.

“I, I am He who blots oust your transgressions for my own sake, I will not remember your sins.” Isaiah 43:25

  8. Hi Evan. A friend has just introduced me to your blogs and I am so glad she has!! This has been a great blog. Looking forward to reading past and future ones.

    1. Many many thanks Evan, how we learn in Christian Science to understand our relationship to God brings everything else into perspective, what Lori wrote also apply to me, am much more astute, alert and oh so very happy, blessed in fact to realise how greatly our dear Father Mother God loves and cares for all His/Her creation and the world.

Loving thoughts and kind regards always in all-ways,

      Pauline Rita Noorts.
