Persistence Pays

“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”

~ Confucius

Thanks to God, we have all of eternity to experience all of Life’s blessings. And we will not be deprived of a single one of them! No matter how slow the going appears at times…

  1. I have elderly parents and in the past few years I regretfully admit that I’ve allowed the depressing idea that their remaining time is short to lodge in my thinking. But just in the last week it came to me so clearly that nobody “dies”. They just “pass on”. In other words, they just pass from our sight, but they go on living. I knew that intellectually before this revelation, but what was new was the realization that they just pass from MY sight. For some reason that registered with me and was a comforting idea (i.e. just because I will no longer be able to see them, I can take comfort in knowing that they will still be living it up in a realm I’m just not able to see). And therefore, like Teresa, the following statement from this blog really hit home. Thanks Evan!

“Thanks to God, we have all of eternity to experience all of Life’s blessings.”
