I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Christ is the power and presence of God at work in our being, giving us the intelligence, wisdom, confidence, understanding and strength to do whatever God is inspiring us to do.
Christ is infinite strength.
Let Christ lead thought, and you’ll have the strength you need.
THANK YOU ❣️❣️❣️
Thank you very much, Evan for this inspiring definition of The Christ. This verse is one of my favorite Bible verses as it gives us strength and confidence, and I am very much with you Evan in all what you say about the Christ. Will save these wonderful truth words about what Christ is and does. That is so clear explained! Long years ago I was seeking the deeper meaning of the Christ; and for me it wasn’t enough to know what Mrs. Eddy says in SH, that Christ is the true idea of God. At that time you gave one of your very inspiring and precious lectures in which you gave us a very long list of what The Christ is. I wrote it down and copied it into my writing programm of my Computer, so that I can always look it up when needed. This list is very helpful!
THANK YOU deeply dear Evan; you tought me very much meanwhile !
And I’m looking forward to all today’s coming inspirational comments! Thank you all!:)
Uta , can you share that list? I would be very grateful!
Could somebody explain how to bring the list from my Document page to this Blog. Otherwise I’d love to write it down here.♡
This morning I awoke feeling tired and weak.
I looked up Bible verses for God giving us strength and happily found 12 verses that spoke to me.
Then I opened my email and was more than delighted
to find Spiritview’s topic for today.
I am energized!
Uta, would you share this list? I love all of Evan’s lectures, but can’t seem to find all of them anymore on YouTube. If there is somewhere one can find all his lectures and articles, please let me know.
Yes Rebecca and Ellen, will do that with Joy!♡
Thanks so much for inspiring thoughts.
God is our strength, therefore all ideas are from Him.
Obrigada Professor Evan.
Thank you for this excellent reminder “Let Christ lead thought, and you’ll have the strength you need.” Always good to know that we have the inexhaustible goodness of Christ to confront, overcome and heal the challenges of each day with Love and Truth.
The Christ example continuously shows us how to do this in so many ways. Hymn 59 verse 1 “Fight the good fight with all thy might, Christ is thy strength, and Christ thy right; Lay hold on Life , and it shall be They joy and crown eternally.”
Note to UTA- you can cut and paste the list mention above– just open your document, then highlight the list and then hit “control copy” and then go to the comment section of Spiritview and “control paste” it there! It should work easily! Thanks for all of your good sharing!
Thank you very much Sue for explaining how to bring the list to SV.
Regrettably I could not find the list in my Documenta, as Evan’s lecture where he saidall that about the Christ is nearly 10 years ago.
Dear Evan, could you please name us the Titel of your lecture where you counter a lot what Christ is. It is so very good. If you give your lecture title I could listen again and write that down again about what all is the Christ. Thanks for all your wonderful inspiring lectures!!!♡
Dear Uta and all
You probably already looked here but just in case you haven’t— Evan has several links to his video lectures and SentinelWatch talks on this blog. If you click on the About section at the top of the page and scroll to the bottom, there is a section titled Evan’s Talks. I don’t know whether the one you reference is there but he has several posted.
Hope this helps! I don’t comment often but I look forward to reading this blog daily and all the wonderful comments, links to other articles and talks, etc. So much good going on! Thank you Evan and everyone!
Yes dear DKM I understand you. But Evan counts 10 to 15 times what Christ is within the lecture. So Evan might know the lecture titel in which he says that. ♡
This is just what I needed to help accomplish all that needs to be done in Spring. Christ
is always with us along the way, helping us with our burdens. I think Hymn # 546
corresponds nicely with this theme:
” O Master, let me walk with thee In lowly paths of service free;
Tell me your secret; help me bear The strain of toil, the fret of care.
Help me the slow of heart to move By some clear winning word of love;
Teach me the wayward feet to stay, And guide them in the homeward way.
Teach me your patience; still with thee In closer dearer company,
In work that keeps faith sweet and strong, In trust that triumphs over wrong.
In hope that sends a shining ray Far down the future’s broadening way;
In peace that God alone can give, With you, O Master, let me live.”
Goodness, come help me find something hidden, NOT LOST. With Christ, Truth leading me, I look forward for the object to be uncovered, I continue to search. . . .until found, with CHRIST’s LOVE and strength leading to the discovery, NOTHING is LOST to DIVINE MIND!
I looked closely at this morning’s image posted, finding it completely bright green in development, beautiful in symmetry, exquisite form at the early phase of growth, representing a new image about to unfold in maturity as it appears in due time. Thank you Evan for choosing this defining image to represent the CHRIST’s teaching to come to full bloom in US! Patience must have it’s perfect work.
Thank you Evan. I just love this picture. It hints that everyone, right now, is God’s complete and full expression as His perfect, constantly unfolding reflection. 🙂
– “Christ-like understanding = spiritual sense.” (Mark Raffles)
– “To the degree that we understand that all creation is already complete and perfectly harmonious, we witness its unfoldment effortlessly and joyously. Mind, not matter is causation. Healing is “spiritual perfection appearing”. (Christie Hanzlik)
– “As I paused to look at the upturned faces of these flowers, I questioned: How is it that I see them as so beautiful and perfect? Immediately the answer came: It is because of the purity I see in them. These flowers are symbols of beautiful, pure thoughts of the one Mind, God. They are reminders to me to acknowledge the one infinite Mind controlling all in perfect harmony.” (Hilda Mabel Sayers)
I couldn’t find something. I was in a hurry putting things away due to having company.
I thought, you will have to remember where you put this item.
For weeks I looked in strange places. I would say nothing can be lost.
The next time I started looking, the thought came, “You
never listened.”. I knew exactly where it was.
I might have sent this before.
Happy day! Every day!
One of my favorite definitions of Christ, (besides Mrs. Eddy’s, SH 332:9-11, “Christ is the true idea voicing good, the divine message from God to men speaking to the human consciousness.”)—is found in L. Ivimy Gwalter’s classic article “The Activity of the Christ,” December 1957 Journal. She writes,”The Christ is the presence of the power of God and the power of the presence of God.” The entire article is a gem, and hopefully someone can provide the link. I so appreciate this site, Evan’s inspiring blogs, and the insightful commentary that follows. Blessings to all.
the activity of the christ is included in the first “Anthology of Classic Articles” , Published by the CSPublishing Soc. (before we had JSH online)
There are three volumes of these books…available at R. Rooms..

Thank you Evan and all for this inspiring message to let Christ be our Strength (and
Finder of all Good). Just like plants – (like the fern unfolding above) – little by little,
we get the strength, guidance and power of God’s dear Love, as we need it in our
daily chores. Plants need nurturing and care and step by step, this Love is given to us
with the capacity, courage, support that is required to see these chores through.
Recently I have been able to put this into practice with strength and needing of things
to be done – dragging raised bed – soil, raking road pebbles from grass, container
plants in and out so they can get sun and start to grow. Yesterday with pulling on the
lawn mower cord, it did not want to start at first. Utilizing God-given Strength and
Knowing that what is right … it Will Start, after several pulls, it Did. I was so grateful!
Patience and persistence .. God is in control.
With Christ/Spirit/Love, we cherish all that is shared with us in God’s loving care and
we Have the strength that is provided for us when we turn to this ever present power
and feel it’s wonderful support.
And dear chilisands, nothing is lost in God’s universe.
Hi SV friends, now I googled Evan’s lectures. And I found the right lecture where in about the forth quarter of his “Christmas Talk” at 3rd Church in New York in 1915 Evan is so lovely explaining what the Christ is and does, namely, healing, Christ does the healing. That Christmas Talk is wonderful, and I recommend to listen to that!♡
Can’t find it. There is a talk Christmas in July.
That’s it, dear Sarah. That is the gorgeous Christmad talk where Evan explains the Christ more extensively. ♡
I just listened to the lecture given so wonderfully on Christmas Eve –
says 8 years ago with Cheri singing so lovely beforehand. Not sure if
this is the one you suggested Uta. It was great to see it again and the
demonstration of Kathy’s Truth of Being at the end is so preciously
described. Thank you, again, Evan, for sharing that most wonderful
proof of God’s Love and all of the other delights of the lecture. Within
the lecture is stated, “the kingdom of Heaven is within you [us].”
Another way of expressing that, is (by Robert Clancy who said,)
” Kindness…If you want to know what Heaven feels like, just touch
someone’s heart”. So Lovely.
Thanks Angel, des that is the same than “Christmas Talk in July”. Yes, it’s a special wonderful testimony with dear Kathy. And I am very grateful for the extended explanation of the Christ.
Thanks Evan for explaining Christ & the beautiful image of ferns leaves showing the care & protection of young leaves by God. Thanks others for their inspirational thoughts.
