  1. A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. The …
    (Proverbs 15:1, 2 (to 1st The))

The above Bible verse comes to mind. I am sure we
have all discovered this at some time, but perhaps
we have not always been quick enough to
respond with love, rather than react. I am getting
better at it, but still practising trying not to be taken
    off guard.

  2. Jesus wrath at the publicans was not gentle. Sometimes you have to speak with spirit to be heard.

  3. KIND

    Know
    Inside
    Nothing
    Daunting

    Dauntin. Something hard
    to deal with.

    KIND

    Know
    Inside
    Niceness
    Dominates

  4. Kindness begets Strength.

Christ Jesus was certainly speaking to the evil that the people were entertaining, not the people themselves, they were being duped by falsity and he was attempting to wake them up to the Truth of their being.

Love this weeks BL which speaks to waking up and adhering to God’s Laws.which is humanities protection from false beliefs.

  5. Love this! Very short, but profound in its simplicity. Being kind and gentle is
what great leaders have taught and practiced. Jesus – the man (Christ, the
Spirit), and Mrs. Eddy .. persecuted at times for their loving, gentle beliefs, but
Godly in their spiritual awareness and purpose. Those today, also, in trying
to do good in the world are often mocked and treated poorly and called horrible
names after total opposites of who they really are … and by those unaware of,
do not understand, or just do not want to know the good that is behind their
intentions. Kindness and gentleness is truly the weapon that no evil can stifle or
suppress. Even though it may Seem that evil is winning and tamping down our
spirit of doing good, and so many things seem like there is no hope in overcoming
the forces that would keep us from peace and harmony – kindness and gentleness,
courage and persistence, not only changes us, it also changes the world.
Hymn #443 sweetens our thoughts with, “Be gentle, be pure …. Since Spirit keeps
all secure … Love guards, Love guides this hour … Know well that God loves you…”

  6. A few thoughts I’ve come across on kindness, which incorporates gentleness
    within:

    “Kindness in words creates confidence
    Kindness in thinking creates profoundness
Kindness in giving creates love” – Lao Tzu

“Love and kindness are never wasted
    They always make a difference
They bless the one who receives them and
They bless you, the giver” – Barbara DeAngelis

“When words are both true and kind
They can change the world” -Buddha

“Kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give” – Unknown Author

  7. About your name written in heaven … by Tica Netherwood,
from the February 26, 2024 issue of The Christian Science Sentinel:

    It doesn’t start with a letter A to Z.
    It began with your anointing
    from your loving Parent,

who sends blessings like clean rainwater
    flowing onto thirsty plants.

Loved child, your name doesn’t start or end
but shines forever, like God’s love,
    a flame on a torch,
    a city on a hill.

    Others whom you greet
    will recognize your grace.
It is the Christ light in you
meeting the Christ light in them.

    So listen. Your Father-Mother
    is speaking your eternal name,
    calling you, holding you,
    cherishing you
    again and again.

    1. Someone was venting on a neighborhood app last night. This person had very generously given away something for another person to pick up. The person picked it up, but also took something from the yard that didn’t belong to them. She made the comment, “the world we live in now. I wish there was an alternative place.” Someone responded, “continue to be the light in the darkness. It does rub off!! Stay positive!!” I love that advice, and the thought from the poem of the Christ light being expressed all of us.

  8. Esteemed Bible commentator Alexander MacLaren (1826-1910) writes:

“Seek to cultivate a buoyant, joyous sense of the crowded kindnesses of God in your daily life.”

  9. Many years ago , when I was in Senior school I remember my Mother saying…’’if you don’t like the ball heading your way be sure not to bat it back! ‘’
