Living in the Kingdom

Are you living in the Kingdom of Heaven?

Jesus Christ preached, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 10:7).

How close is your hand?

Mine is attached.

Heaven is as close as the thoughts you think.

Mary Baker Eddy writes, “Heaven is not a locality, but a divine state of Mind …” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 291).

Every child of God can enjoy a heavenly state of Mind this moment, and every moment.

You can enjoy a heavenly state of existence here and now.

Demonstrate a heavenly state of Mind and you’ll catch a glimpse of what life in heaven is all about.

Live in the Kingdom.  Today!

  1. We have a choice: Live in our mortal history or rejoice in heaven right now..I find the most peace in the now of God’s creating.. Right now is God’s gift of harmony, abundance, and joy..
Discipline of thought opens the gift of God with me right now.. opening that gift is demonstration.

  2. Luke 17:21

When the Son of Man ArrivesJesus, grilled by the Pharisees on when the kingdom of God would come, answered, “The kingdom of God doesn’t come by counting the days on the calendar. Nor when someone says, ‘Look here!’ or, ‘There it is!’ And why? Because God’s kingdom is already among you.”

  3. Jesus beheld in Science the PURRRRFect man…..I am perfect….so is George the cat.
Benji the love of my life is probably a dolphin…who knows what we become as we grow in grace.
    Blessings, Lesley

    1. Wow. Thank you, J, for sharing this amazing lecture by Paul Stark Seeley. It is a keeper! “The grand necessity of existence is to gain the true idea of what constitutes the kingdom of heaven in man” (SH p. 560).

  4. In truth, we all dwell in the heaven of divine consciousness.
God manifested is what ‘man’ means.
God is your Mind. Think out from Mind.
Conscious knowing of our oneness with God is our true experience.
Knowing life to be in and of God comes with a consciousness of spiritual power that subordinates matter and destroys all error.

  5. This is a wonderful message of where we really are .. always … within the
kingdom of heaven. We don’t have to wait to be a part of God’s beautiful
world, because we are a part right now. How comforting and lovely is that!
As the inspiring article, (Thank you, dear J, and the endearing thoughts above
and I’m sure to come) … states, ” more and more conscious of Spirit, Mind,
God, and His kingdom. Be really conscious of God’s spiritually-minded man!”
Even though this lecture was so long ago -in mortally-speaking, time related
terms, it’s message is timeless and speaks to us as if it were just created for
“our” time. It transcends any limitations, as does our thinking when being
    omnipresent with Mind/God.

  6. If heaven is not a locality but a divine state of Mind, as Mrs. Eddy says in the above quote, then heaven is ours at all times, because we can always express that divine Mind, and are never truly without it.

That’s helpful to me today as I am on the last day of a nice trip to Los Angeles area to celebrate my daughter’s graduation with a Master’s degree. I was rushing around trying to “create” more fun activities and enjoy this day as much as possible. But how much can I enjoy it if I think I’m the doer or creator of fun and feeling a scarcity of time to make all these things happen? No, that’s the material, and therefore wrong approach. I am in the heavenly kingdom now and this is God’s day to show me and lead me in right, divine thoughts and activities, which lead to the most satisfying results. Thank you God, I am humbly slowing down and listening.

      1. Thanks so much dear J for your kind wishes. ❤️❤️ I ended up renting a bicycle from a place that is a combination cafe and bike shop and riding along the LA River, it was lovely.

    1. Dear Rose, congratulations on your daughter’s graduation. I loved your description of your efforts and the results of your “humbly slowing down and listening” for the unfoldment of God’s day that proved to be satisfying for you. The enfoldment of God’s day. is always great to see happen,

The view of the Kingdom of Heaven we gain when we see ourselves “living and moving and having our being in Him”, in His Kingdom and care is precious and also satisfying.

Than]k you, Evan and all, for the links and ideas you share. I love the view of NOW you shared, John Q. How wonderful that we don’t have to wait to see or experience the Kingdom that is right here now.. As Evan says, “Every child of God can enjoy a heavenly state of Mind this moment, and every moment.”

      Love to all.

    1. Thank you Cheryl for sharing this excellent article! Lovely descriptions of living in “The World of Infinite Love”.
