Lest you’re ever tempted to think you are separated from God, or flailing about in mortality without any mooring to ground you, take a moment to remember your reality with God. That you are spiritual!
Not just some of the time. But all the time!
Hymn 253
And o’er earth’s troubled, angry sea
I see Christ walk,
And come to me, and tenderly,
Divinely talk.
Thus Truth engrounds me on the rock,
Upon Life’s shore,
‘Gainst which the winds and waves can shock,
Oh, nevermore!
Lighthouses, so stoutly built on rocky outcrops, in calm seas and rough, always bring this wonderful poem of Mary Baker Eddy’s to thought.
We truly are never alone, abandoned or without hope.
So grateful

Beautiful Shelagh, thank you. ❣️

Thank you J. Another excellent article.
Thank you very much, dear. I. for this clear spiritual article. Must read it again!
Am always looking forward to each SpiritView. It’s helpful and healing – always! – thank you very much, dear Evan! ♡
I am very thankful for this so inspiring and loving SV Blog community! ♡
This is all very helpful! Thank you so much!
Thank you, Evan, for the inspiring reminder of our ONLY true identity — being at one with our Father-Mother God. There absolutely is nothing else. Harmony reigns as we come to realize this more fully.
I love the photo of the kookaburras with their laughing call. While I lived in Australia I would hear them in the bush and their bird song always brought a joyous presence. It just focused my thoughts to appreciate all the beauty God surrounds us with each day. Thank you for inspiring blog each day!
Thanks Ellen. I was wondering what kind of birds they were. Of course they are not native to us here in the UK. And thank you J for another inspiring article. L.X
Thanks Evan. Underneath every seeming discord is a sense of being somehow separated from God’s love and care. It’s very sneaky and I may start analyzing the “problem” from material, mortal perspectives. – but the truth is I am feeling like I am distant from God, alone and afraid. It can take some work, humility, trust, turning back to Truth. Like you say, we are spiritual ALL the time, even while we seem to have forgotten this fact. We are in God’s arms EVERY moment. A permanent hug.
The above photo of ‘brother birds’ joyfully communicating brought to thought verse one of Mrs. Eddy’s poem Love (also hymn 30/31/32):
Brood o’er us with Thy shelt’ring wing,
‘Neath which our spirits blend
Like brother birds, that soar and sing,
And on the same branch bend.
Thank you Rose for sharing your thoughts about remembering our oneness with God. I like your reminder that we are always in divine Love’s arms, an eternal hug.
What a lovely reminder, Evan and all, about our True identity as
children of God, singing on the branch of divine Love, together in Spirit.
I, too, Shelagh, love lighthouses and are a wonderful symbol of Light,
protection, comfort and hope. Ironically, I had just put on a t-shirt
with a lighthouse on it before reading your post. It is a reminder that
we are never alone, when guided by Love’s precious beams of light.
Just what I needed to read this morning. Thank you, Evan and all. ❣️
