The age of demonstration

October 30, 2025 | 22 comments

Jews are waiting for the Messiah to arrive.  Millions of Christians are waiting for the Second Coming of Christ.

Christian Science has Good News to share.  The Messiah has already arrived in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.  And the Second Coming has already happened with the revelation of divine Science.  The prophecies have been fulfilled.

There is no more waiting.

We are in the age of demonstration.

We have everything we need to understand God and live our eternal life.

Truth is revealed.

It’s time to demonstrate it.

  1. I’ve often tried to imagine how Jesus felt when , after all his demonstrations of healing in so many ways , they STILL asked him if he was the long awaited one . The Messiah ! And his answer was (to Philip ) “ Have I been with you SO LONG and yet you still ask me ?” , or words to that effect . Then he also tells the others to look at what he has DONE and it should be obvious…” Go and tell John…” I always wonder what ELSE the Jews could possibly have expected other than the all powerful soldier on a white horse getting rid of the Romans.
Well he came to TEACH US to do OUR work and how to live amongst the (metaphorical) “ Romans and Egyptians” of today. Those who insist on living ignorantly and harshly and inflicting cruelty on others . They are still with us but so are Jesus teachings!! We’d all love to see Jesus return in physical life but today’s ‘Romans’ would do the same thing. WE have to step up and do our work just as the disciples 2000 years ago did. It’s time for us to move on from being disciples to being apostles and sharing what we have demonstrated ourselves with the “others” … and we need to do that in words that do not separate us from non Christian’s Scientists so that we do not seem to be in some kind of a cult with its own language. We need to communicate with others in today language … Jesus taught in the language and metaphors of his time so we need to do the same . New words – new metaphors but the same Truth and Principle.

    1. This is a wonderful article. It caused me to examine my own thinking where demonstration feels blocked. It also brought to mind many other analogies that we all know like it’s fine to read the recipe, but you have to bake the cake. An artist can look at wonderful paintings others create but must pick up the brush to demonstrate that ability herself or its a beautiful theory only.
Thank you so much for the post

    2. Diane, Thank you so much for those very strong
truths. We know that we can and should demonstrate our God-given dominion over
the false claims of matter, not only
for our own benefit, but for the sake of all mankind.
We must be so grateful to our Saviour, Christ Jesus,
for what he suffered to bring us the understanding of
our true nature and life in God..

    3. I agree Diane and for that reason I am so very grateful for the synonyms.whem talking to non-CSists. The Word is ever powerful and when shared with love and light of Science, it can’t help but bring comfort.

As Mrs.Eddy wrote, S&H 280:4 “From Love and from the light and harmony which are the abode of Spirit, only reflections of good can come”

    1. The message today brings the healing truth of Christ into today’s being
and that is such a wonderful place to be. This article …. highlighting that
the same sun (and moon) was in Jesus’ time as well as ours. I had never
thought of it that way before. I have often thought of our current times
and how that is true, but bringing it back to Jesus’ time, really erases
time and distance and the article shared by Cheryl from 1915, also
demonstrates how relevant words from then are still relevant to us
today. How lovely! Thank you All for this revelation of truth.

  2. Thank you, Evan for yet another helpful message today. And thank you, Cheryl for the link to a perfect article to elaborate on Evan’s message. Diane, I agree that we need to speak the truth in today’s language. That is one more reason I appreciate Spiritview so much. Evan’s messages are helping me to do that a little better. Much gratitude for all the comments.

  3. Thank you Evan and love and gratitude to everyone here.

I appreciate today’s image above, “Good News!” We can all use some good news these days, for sure. But this good news won’t appear in media headlines (wouldn’t it be great if it did!). This good news is eternal truth, so it’s not really new, but ongoing and always available, the truth of our being.

Evan says we have everything we need, right now, to understand and demonstrate that all is well, and we and our Father are One. Let’s demonstrate! Or I should say, LET God demonstrate THROUGH us as His vehicle and the expression of His being.

  4. Thank you all for celebrating this Truth, which has been revealed just as scriptures prophesied and “only needs to be practiced,” as Mary Baker Eddy tells us.

  5. Thankyou Evan, for this message it cleared up a lot of questions for me. Thankyou everyone for your comments, much love.

    1. She did triumph over death. She raised several people from the dead.

For her personally, it was not her role to ascend. It was her role to reveal the discovery to humanity. She was a “scribe under orders,” as she writes. It’s our job to make the demosntration. It will come in time, as she prophesied. We all have much spiritual growing to do first.

  6. Thank you all for your wonderful comments and Evan for bringing this subject to us today.
I loved “its fine to read the recipe but you still have to bake the cake” from Jeanne and thank you for the articles.
Much love to all of you today and always.:)

  7. What a wonderful, inspiring read this evening. Thank you everyone for your comments and links to articles… Thank you Evan for encouraging us all to spread the ‘’Good News’’ ❣️

  8. Looking at Edvard Munchs The Scream…I see Spirit Screaming.. ‘How can Lies impress us. ..’!!’
The painting was discussed with our elementry students.. I was not there that day, and it was used to ask what were things that scared each student.. whether snakes or spiders, as was written down. ..in the children words around ‘the painting’
The painting impressed me that its as alive today.. We are crossing the same bridge into open arms..
“Christ within, Let Peace Occur, See the Glory my Dad creates.” Its not our battle…As with Jesus, there wasn’t one, God is All in All.
Jeepers.. makes mortal courage completely scary, compared with the meekness Jesus had to brave the word of God to the ‘material’ world,
Thank you inspiring viewers..Maybe Clint Eastwood? wearing a poncho.. “Make ‘thy’ day..”
