It’s a hard concept for the human mind to rationalize, but it makes perfect sense from a spiritual point of view. God is good and sees only good.
A mind of goodness is capable only of seeing goodness. That’s what it thinks about, is aware of, and sees: its own goodness.
God is a divine Mind that is wholly good. This Mind of God sees good everywhere it looks.
This is good news for you and me, for we can find peace in knowing that when God looks at us, God sees only goodness in us.
As the Bible reminds us, “Thou are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity” (Hab. 1:13).
God never sees evil in you. Ever. He only sees what you are capable of being as a beloved, immortal child of God.
You can advance more rapidly by doing the same.
See what God sees. Shut down mortal mind and any demoralized views of self that may be captivating your attention and stick with what God knows about you. It’s good: very, very good!
Thank you.
Wonderful Evan, thank you.
God sees only good because that is the only real. Thank you, Evan for allthese wonderful post.
W H E W !!
Ditto!
As God is “of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity”, that is because evil
does not really exist. because God, who made all,
is all good, and Evan so beautifully puts it.
This week’s Bible Lesson is filled with statements telling us that evil is not real. that it is nothing claiming to be something. Jesus demonstrated it so perfectly for us in his mission. If something is real it cannot be cast out, but if we accept the fact that it is not real, it can be cast out. Casting out nothing should not be difficult, and the spiritual perfect idea is then able to shine out from what appeared to be a threat to our well-being.
But if we have been fooled into believing in evil
as real, God cannot see us, although we are
still His perfect reflection, and He is still loving us. we have, ,in effect, hidden ourselves from Him. So when Adam was tempted to believe in an apple as having
power, God could not see him.
So it boils down to, are we going to believe in an apple,(or material suggestions) or in God?!!!? I would like to see myself and everyone else, as “the apple of God’s eye.”
(To be “the apple of one’s eye” means to be a person or thing that is cherished above all others, a favorite who is loved and valued the most.)
Wonderful, insightful thoughts Maggie, thank you for sharing them.
Maggie, great thought about hiding ourselves from God’s correct view of His ideas, children. We must and will as promised claim our good and loving God and only then can we accept our freedom from matter based thinking TO Spirit knowing.
Thank you SV
“Knowing you’re good” By Deborah Huebsch. From the September 6, 2017 issue of The Christian Science Monitor:

God never sees evil in you or anyone. . Ever.
Behold the perfect child.
“Shut down mortal mind and any demoralized views of self that may be
captivating your attention and stick with what God knows about you” Yes!
Love that and Thank you, Evan. All of these thoughts are so helpful in
seeing the perfect being that we all are – children of God – innocent, pure,
loving and lovely.
Angel I also keyed in on that comment from today’s message where Evan mentions a “demoralized view of self.” I thought, do I really know what demoralized means? I did, generally speaking, but I took the time to look it up and found these definitions:
Demoralized- To deprive a person or persons of spirit, courage, confidence, hope. To become disheartened. To make downhearted. To confuse or put into disorder.
Sounds like the work of error/mortal mind to me! God never can create these kinds of feelings in His beloved child, He never sees us this way, but just the opposite. So yes Evan we can, with God’s help, discard any “demoralized views of self that may be captivating our attention” and stick with the complete good that God knows about us. Thank you!
Thank you everyone for your comments. It’s such a wonderful thing to know that God not only created us all, but created us all very good. The carnal mind is enmity against God and would love us to believe otherwise. But it lies and must be cast out of thought, This weeks lesson is so powerful and helpful in explaining this.
Thank you SV
Thank you Evan….more spiritual food for thought!
So easy to say or read that God knows only the good in his children…but the depth of our understanding and conception of why this is can be less easy to grasp if we are seemingly dealing with a lot of ‘’stuff!’’ ( apologies if that’s just me! )
On U tube there is a talk by Phillip Hockley called A New View of God. I’ve viewed it several times but think the explanation of grasping reflection/ expression of all that God gives us here is very helpful and revealing. Fast forward to just after 29 mins. I’m sorry I can’t give you a site link.
I’m so looking forward to a weekend of comments….happy, healing times to all.❣️
Hi Barbara, thanks. Here’s a link to the Philip Hockely lecture. He has been giving this excellent lecture on A New View of God for a number of years, and youtube has several of them posted. They are very similar in content. This one is from 2023. Enjoy!

Thank you everyone for your sharing today. It has been so helpful. I was working on the idea of “image.”.A wonderful insight is from him number 144/3 verse “for God, immortal Principe, is with us everywhere; He holds us perfect in His love, and we His image bear.“
Holding this idea in my heart and thought for one and all.
There is so much to be grateful for!
