What concept of self are you holding today?
Are you thinking of yourself as a mortal mired in trouble, a physical body burdened by disease, or a human fraught with limitations?
Or are you seeing yourself correctly, the way God sees you, as an immortal blessed with the infinite goodness of God to live out and prove?
Mary Baker Eddy writes, “The admission to one’s self that man is God’s own likeness sets man free to master the infinite idea” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 90).
To get started on the best foot today, start by admitting the truth about yourself. That you are not a mortal fraught with material limitations. You are an immortal reflecting the likeness of God that is blessed with infinite possibilities. There are no limits on how far you can go and how much you can accomplish as God’s image.
Go for the best! Drop the erroneous mortal concept and run with the immortal idea.
Admit the truth about yourself and thrive!
True ID = Great starting point, now to stay with it!
Thank you Evan.
Thank you Evan….
A consciousness invaded by pure Truth …perfection ❣️
Thank you, Evan. Just exactly what I need to remember, now and always! And thank you for giving us wonderful inspiration throughout all of 2025. Have a blessed and joyous 2026!
Thank you for the inspiration, Evan. I really appreciate this guidance on how to be more spiritually minded and see ourselves as God sees us. I love the ease of the verb “admit” – not something we have to force or strain to do, just “admit the truth”.
I plan to get started on my “best” foot today! A perfect message for this morning, thank you Evan!
Thank you, Evan!
This is the perfect “Angel Message” I needed today!
“ You are an immortal reflecting the likeness of God that is blessed with infinite possibilities. There are no limits on how far you can go and how much you can accomplish as God’s image.”
Amen!
So very grateful for this Truth! ❤️
A lovely message of our True being, as children of God. Thank you!
And we don’t have to compare ourselves to others, because we are
each individual representations of our Father/Mother God. Perfect and
spiritual and not limited to mortal barriers that would try to keep us from
realizing our True identity.
Each idea shared in these wonderful messages goes to prove the limitless
thoughts that are eternally expressed. It would be like Evan saying …
all of the topics have been explored and there are no more, or a musician
saying … there are no more musical tunes and have all been written. Like to
a mathematician, numbers are limitless, sands on a beach are countless,
as are blades of grass, the stars, trees, birds, drops of water in the ocean …
So are we filled with expressions of spiritual qualities that are forever
cherished in the Love that we possess in our hearts to share. Acknowledging
the infinite ideas is seeing ourselves and admitting to the Truth of our being.
we Live with Love and never stray
lifts thy foot along the Way
thank you for the burst of Colour
Minds eye blessing, the fullness..

Hello all and a belated Merry Christmas! I’ve been unable to keep up with SpiritView the last few days but I’m catching up today and just read the comment from J from Dec. 26th in which a quote was shared that starts with “When we insist on our victimhood, when we rehearse its circumstances and keep it alive in our thought,…” J mentioned not knowing the author so I searched and found the quote comes from a Sentinel article by Richard Bergenheim from Nov 17, 1997. A link to the article is below.
No need to be a victim
Richard C. Bergenheim

This article is relevant to the topic for today too! Everyone is tempted to believe they are a victim of some person, place, or thing. But when we realize that belief of being a victim is just a temptation to believe we’re a material being, living lives of chance, subject to both discord and harmony, and helpless to do anything about it, For example, if I were to believe my human story, I would have to admit I was born to a mentally ill father whom my mother escaped from when I was 2 years-old and that “history” caused many deprivations and challenges for me that resulted in me suffering and resulted in me living with crippling resentment for many years. However, I finally realized I could instead “admit the truth” and think of myself as described in the citation from S&H Evan shared today, “…that man is God’s own likeness…” If I’m God’s own likeness, I’ve never REALLY been deprived of anything or been placed in a discordant situation. That realization has freed me from debilitating and depressing thoughts. Silencing the thoughts of resentment and suffering can be hard because being a victim seems so real. But what actually suffers? According to S&H, it’s “mortal mind alone” that suffers.
Mortal mind alone suffers, — not because a law of matter has been transgressed, but because a law of this so-called mind has been disobeyed. I have demonstrated this as a rule of divine Science by destroying the delusion of suffering from what is termed a fatally broken physical law.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 184:21)
Our true selfhood as God’s own likeness never suffers. When we reason out from the fact that “all” must manifest All (God), the only conclusion we can reach is that any discord must just be an illusion of believing man is material and separate from God. And when we put those types of “mortal mind” thoughts out of consciousness by reasoning out from the Truth, the truth is seen and we experience God’s harmony, here and now!
Robert H, thank you for sharing your experience . How wonderful that you were able to find the truth you needed, admit it into your consciousness, and eventually find your freedom from the thoughts that had been tormenting you for so long.
It is wonderful to know the teachings of Christian Science can free us all from everything that the flesh is heir to, by understanding that we are heirs of God ,not of man, and joint heirs with Christ. As we can also prove it for ourselves, we must then hold that spiritual concept we have gained, forever in our thoughts. We must remember that we are immortal, not mortal, and have our thoughts continually open to the limitless good that God is unfolding to us.
All this is work in progress for me – much to learn.
Thank you RobertH for searching and sharing the article and your experience with us. Also thank you for sharing your thoughts, which are very helpful.
Thank you for sharing Robert! And thank you Evan for this forum!
Thank you, Evan, for your consistency in sharing the uplifting thoughts that help us keep our consciousness filled with the knowledge that we are God’s ideas.
Thank you Evan and others – much needed and appreciated
To know that we all are “an immortal blessed by the infinite goodness of God” and “reflecting the likeness of God that is blessed with infinite possibilities”
What beautiful thoughts to hold onto today. Thank you,Evan and others
