Do you have a birthday coming up? Some people look forward to them.
Others dread them.
If you’d rather not think about adding another year to your age, there’s another way to think about the course of life that lifts any sense of dread.
I share an inspiration that helped me see past age in this vlog that was filmed on the shore of Avalanche Lake, in Glacier National Park, Montana, when Kathy and I visited the region in August 2025.
Thank you Evan! I love that since people like to say Happy Birthday in most social circles, it is nice to know I can replace birthday with eternity.
I answered yes to your initial question Evan! It’s my birthday in two days time. I have friends taking me out this week to ‘celebrate’ so I’m glad to be able to mentally replace the wishes of ‘happy birthday’ with Happy Eternity. Thank you. L. X
Just celebrated me day yesterday. I’ve always picked a number and every year I’ve gone around the sun that many times again and I remind myself of my eternal life! I also look at that day (month) as just a chance to celebrate me as God’s daughter, never celebrating a number.
Thank you Evan. I have what is termed a ‘big’ birthday this year. I don’t generally make a thing of birthdays because it can put one in a certain category! I will keep in mind Evan’s suggestion and replace birthday with eternity. Thank you so much. x
This idea is brilliant! Thanks so much. What a great way to reverse the pervasive claims about age. Much better to shine a light on eternity than to blow out candles on a cake!
