Would you like to hear better what God has to say?
A podcast I did for Sentinel Watch titled, “If you think you can’t hear God,” was posted online this week. I share ideas and examples of how to cut through the noise and commotion of the human mind and hear what God has to say.
The lead-in intro reads, “If God is always speaking to us, how come sometimes it seems like we can’t hear Him? This week’s guest, Evan Mehlenbacher, takes a deep dive into how we can listen to God better, and why this listening is an important and healing aspect to our daily lives and practice of Christian Science.”
I hope you enjoy the broadcast.
Many thanks for this Evan,

Thank you Evan for a very helpful SW. And thank you Maggie for an excellent article.
Gracias Profesor Evans.
Reset, time out from busy human life to listen to the divine Mind. That is a way of life that nourishes.
Wonderful podcast. Thank you.
And for each daily Spiritview.
It was just a wonderful SW! I always enjoy your lectures and SW contributions (and Spirit View) because you teach us HOW to pray. That is so important to someone new to CS, or coming back to it as I was a few years ago. Just love SW!!
Thank you fir all you do. ❣️
I can’t open the link.
If it’s “Listen to the secret Place” by William Robert Suddab.
I don’t know any other way to share – perhaps someone else
can.

Thank you Evan! Your podcast, and the healing you related during the second half of that recording are so powerful and inspiring!
I’ve found over the years that listening to God is especially important when studying the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly. That’s when mortal mind tries to distract us in so many ways – that appointment I have coming up later, those groceries I need, bills to pay. One thing after another tries to clutter our thought and seem really prevalent when reading the lesson. That’s where making a commitment to hear God’s voice above all else is so vital.
I too asnt able to Open the link on the blog. So I went to the Spiritview website, and I was able to open the link there.
You cam also try This link. You ill need to copy and paste

Thank you Evan!
Excellent help thanks Evan. Especially welcome as not feeling so great.
Much needed thoughts today Evan and the Sentinel Watch is perfect. You always are able to explain everything so well and so understandably.
Thank you L for the link as I also couldn’t readily get the SW in its entirety. What a miss that would have been !
Thank you so much Evan for your continual support and sharing❣️
This was a wonderful demonstration of how you came to be such a perfect
example of listening to the “still, small voice”. Thank you, Evan, for encouraging
us with how things worked out in your life. Sometimes we think, with others –
things just “magically” fall into place, but what you shared, took us on your
journey of how you got where you are today – inspiring so many. One thing
you said resonated with me – “Don’t give power to matter”. How easy it is to
fall into that trap of mortal mind’s persuasion. Again, many thanks for all that
you do.
Thankyou so much Evan for sharing this podcast ! It’s so inspiring and the way God led you to become a CS PRACTIONER. I got so many Spiritual ideas from this , Thankyou, Thankyou, also Thankyou L for sharing the link , much appreciate it. much love to all.
I would like to be one of the happiest persons on earth. Enjoyed the Sentinel Watch. Where is God leading me? God not in the turbulence. . Thanks for all the outstanding articles.
I appreciated the beginning of the podcast very much. (I look forward to hear all of it tomorrow) Something that struck me was the traffic incident and you reminded us how to avoid the mortal “why” and not get stuck in thoughts like “I studied the lesson this morning – how can this (what ever it might be) then happen..”
Inspired by how God always have a way out of every situation I could calmly reassure my husband who is saling on his boat right now. He called me early yesterday morning telling that a nearby sailing boat lost his anchor during the windy night and that the front of his boat all of a sudden was hit with full power. I told him that God has everything in control and that we should not waste any time with “why”. I told him about your traffic experience and he appreciated it! Shortly afterwards he called back telling that there were no damage on our boat and that he was much more calm. How wonderful it is to feel the calm trust in divine Love. Thank you for your inspiring as well as practical ideas. And, easy to remember; there is always room for a little “timeout”
