Thank you so much Evan for this simple but very important thought! Understanding God is the starting and ending point of our journey in Christian Science. I find it difficult to understand God many times, and realize that I’m often trying to understand Him from an intellectual standpoint (meaning the human mind). This quote from Science and Health really helps me:
“Spiritual sense is a conscious, constant capacity to understand God.”
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 209:31–32)
Thanks a lot for this gteat Monitor article, dear J ! it’s so lovingly discussed with the aothor of this article having been a school teacher and with her pupels, how do we know that someone loves us.
Will read later the article “How are we God-like”.Am looking forward to read it.
Are we listening to Spiritual Sense? That sounds like a simple question. But it is more then that, it’s what John in Orlando reminds us what Mrs. Eddy wrote in SH p.209: 31-32: “Spiritual Sense is a conscious, constant capacizy to understand God”. I like Mrs. Eddy’s sentence about what Spiritual Sense is. Am grateful for this clarifying Truth.
Thank you very very much for today’s toppic, dear Evan! And thank you all so very much for your inspiring comments and for the very helpful articles, deat J.
Thank you for this daily bread. This real supply.
