“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.”

  1. Excellent article. Thank you Grace for providing the link. And thank you for the thought Evan. It is important to me to know that reflecting God in our spiritual selfhood is naturally joyous, harmonious and peaceful.

  2. Thanks, Evan, for this topic of Happiness! It’s taken me many years and growth to just begin to understand what Real Happiness Is and where it comes from. I never really knew what Mrs. Eddy meant when she says in Science and Health: “Happiness is spiritual, born of Truth and Love….” For so many of us Human Beings, Happiness seems to be so dependent on the 5 physical senses. For me, it’s only been when I’ve been willing to grow spiritually that I’ve gotten just a taste of what Real Happiness is…..it truly is Spiritual! Happy Christmas Blessings to All!

  3. love the quote that says so much in so little words! the 1938 article!!! which says so much is so many words… interesting how the articles have changed thru the years, I really like going back to reading this one in time, thank you both!

  4. Hi dear SV Family!

Love the quote, Evan, and the Comments, with the bonus: the helpful article on Happiness!

This morning I was … a little “unhappy” about the testimony I gave at church last night… feeling somewhat “critical” of it … not “quite right”… etc… you know… mortal mind stuff trying to tempt and test me… I wasn’t buying…
But, how glad I was when a church friend called this morning with glowing gratitude for my open heart-sharing and informal-expression-testimony!! Love’s perfect timing!

God is so definitely, clearly, wonderfully GOOD, all day, every day, always and forever!

    “CHRIST-MAS!”

  5. Dear Grace,
That certainly was a gem of an article. One of the many ideas that stood out to me was, “for all of God’s ideas opportunity is exactly equal. Divine Love has no favorites.” We are all equal and equally blessed! Thanks so much for sharing this.

  6. You are all so welcome. It was recently referred to me by a practitioner/ teacher and when I saw the subject was happiness today on Evan’s blog, I had to share it. I’m so grateful to see that the article is rippling out to a wider audience. Isn’t it wonderful?

  7. Thank you Evan for this blog – I meanwhile feel with all the commentors as a family.
But Grace, I cannot open the article you gave alink to, fully. If I click on it opens and says I have to subscibe to one of the publications. On fact I subscibe to the Herold and the Monitor.
How can I get the that precious article?

      1. Oh Brian, I thank you so very much – yes I now could open the whole article. I printed it out, and as here it is 10 p.m. and “bedtime” I will read it there. But anyhow, I have to read it more than only one time. And happy Christmas to you and your family – and of course to all commenters, too ;-))

      2. I also thank you for this link, Brian. Like Uta, I could not bring up the other link that Grace provided. It is a wonderful article.

  8. Today I’ve been asked the question many times, “Are you ready for Christmas?” Without a second thought my heartfelt and sincere reply has been “I’m ready for Christmas every day.” I hope you are, too. Happy Christmas – Happy Hoidays – Happy Holy days to all.

    1. Hi Deb…… you were born ready… for this life of love
and giving….. special indeed… and a life lived as a blessing for others….

  9. Thank you Evan. And thank you Grace and Brian for your links to article from a 1938 Sentinel relating to happiness. Happy Holidays to all.
