A full Truth

July 11, 2022 | 20 comments

If you’re ever tempted to think you are only part way healed, remember, you reflect a full Truth!

A part way healing implies a part way truth. That truth somehow falls short of being full and complete for the person who is praying. But truth is never part way. Truth is all the way. It never comes up short.

For instance, does 5 + 5 = 10? Yes! There is no part way about it. The answer is never 9 or 11, or something else. It’s always ten! A perfect full complete, no doubt about it, 10!

The same rule applies to spiritual healing.

In prayer, we pray to realize our spiritual truth. God is Truth. God is the Truth we are discovering in prayer. This Truth is never part way or partial. It is whole, complete, and full always. There is no partway about it.

As a child of God, you reflect a full Truth. Don’t stop one step short of accepting it!

  1. Thank you Evan for this good reminder of our completeness in healing. Perfect God and perfect man.

  2. Thanks Evan for always us of our spiritual identify. How can we fall short on that. We can never be separated from our spiritual parents.

  3. Thank you Evan this is just what was needed.
From the lesson this week on Life.
    Science and Health page. 246:6-8
“Let us feel the divine energy of Spirit, bringing us into newness of life and recognizing no mortal nor material power as able to destroy.”
I thank God for my newness of life.

    1. Good morning Renis. I love this passage from Science and Health, but do not find it on page 246: 6-8. Can you help me locate it?

  4. Evan, this has always been a favorite
    way of seeing our oneness.

    Science $ Health p. 112 16-22
From the infinite One in Christian Science
comes one Principle and it’s infinite idea … the
same yesterday, and to-day, and forever.

  5. Evan thank you for the reminder of our full Truth, which as you say, never comes up short.

My daughter has been traveling in Vietnam the past couple of weeks. Prayer was wonderfully helpful both before and during her trip regarding feeling homesick and not feeling well; quick healings resulted. I later found out that when trying to return to the US, issues regarding required documents seemed to threaten her ability to leave the country, and causing much extra expense and difficulties. Everything SEEMED to be going awry. She was very upset at the turn of events and angry with herself for not knowing about all the requirements, but she said she was praying as these events unfolded. She got an angel message that her serenity was not worth losing. over concerns about about money and struggles. Then she was able to let go and felt that God would sort it all out, and He did. She is safely and happily back in her home and we’re very grateful that trusting God revealed the full truth. She was in His care and in her right place at all times no matter what it looked like.

    1. What a lovely demonstration Rose from New York. It made me think of the following verse…

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26.v 3

    2. Thank you Rose! Great example of not letting self-condemnation make us believe we are separated from the loving care of God, Love.

    1. Thank you Angie for sorting out so lovingly suitable articles to Evan’s SpiritView!
It’s such a helpful article “Christian Science – it works” It gives me very much!♡
How enriching is this SpiritView Family!
Thanks and love to you all.
Today’s SpiritView makes me grateful and happy! Thanks Evan for this lovely and ensuring of the full Truth resulting in healing, not only partly but rather absolutely in complete healing!

What already Anna Moellering mentions reminds me what Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health on p. 259 “The christlike understanding of scientific being and divine healing includes a perfect Principle and idea, – perfect God and perfect man, – as the basis of thought and demonstration.”
So, no half way to healing, rather perfect divine Truth and Love lead to perfect healing.
These are wonderful words of Truth, and a christian scientist is working on the demonstration of A full Truth, and so am I.
Thank you Evan for always strengthening us in our spiritual understanding!♡

  6. Thank you Evan. The 5+5=10 analogy made me think of comments by Michael Thorneloe: “God’s love is always operating, just as the law of mathematics is always operating. Can you image the law of mathematics deciding not to govern numbers properly for three hours tomorrow morning? Of course not!”
If you’re interested, you can view Michael’s lecture, “The law of Christian Science Healing” at:

  7. Thank you for sharing your daughter’s experience Rose. It so beautifully illustrates how when we turn to Truth the Christ lifts us up over troubled waters, assuring our safety and peace. Divine Love never leaves us in limbo. Love takes us all the way home.

As Evan says, there’s no doubt about it!

  8. Thank you Evan and All. The math analogy made me think of a “parable” that I thought of a few weeks ago. It goes like this:

A boy in kindergarten was learning addition. He studied 2 + 2 = 4 until he felt he understood it. Then the teacher gave the class a test and on the test was “2 + 2 = ?” and the little boy put down an answer of “4”. He was happy when the teacher graded the test and his answer was correct. But then as he was walking home he saw two bluebirds in a tree and as he went a little further he saw two more bluebirds on a wire. When he got home he burst into the house and excitedly told his mother “Mom! On the way home I saw FIVE bluebirds…two in a tree and two on a wire!”

I’ve realized in my own experience that when studying the lesson or praying it is fairly easy to accept the truth as the truth. But when I go out “into the world” I find that I sometimes fail to demonstrate “consistency”. Instead of sticking with the truth I allow myself to accept error as truth…especially when aggressive mental suggestions are trying to convince me that error is truth or that the truth is theoretically true but can’t be trusted in what appears to be my present material existence..

I guess I’m not the only one that struggles with consistency because in James 1 there are these citations (James 1: 23-24):

    22. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

So I like the reminder in Evan’s blog today that “God is Truth.” I know when I have thoroughly realized that some truth I have prayed with is the result of God being Truth and that the truth is eternally true because the laws of Principle maintain that truth, it has been easier for me to remain consistent and ignore the aggressive suggestions that would try to make me believe that truth doesn’t apply to me right now. So thank you Evan for this reminder today!
