Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!
Worship the Lord with gladness.
Come before him, singing with joy.
Acknowledge that the Lord is God!
He made us, and we are his.
We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving;
go into his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good.
His unfailing love continues forever,
and his faithfulness continues to each generation.
praise the Lord with Thanksgiving!
God is so good ! I love the psalms always reminding us to praise God like Spiritview ..thank you Evan!
When I was in Sunday School many years ago, one class assignment was to memorize Psalm 100.. I had always mentally pictured entering some pearly gates while giving thanks to God, probably after death. After discovering Christian Science it dawned on me that when we are giving sincere thanks to our Father Mother God, that act enters us into His spiritual gates in our consciousness, revealing His spiritual qualities and blessings.
Wow, thank you Helen for your thoughts
After Ps 23 91 and 121 this is my favorite. Thanks! And here is another thought for Thanksgiving

Thanks Manuela for sharing this website on Pierre Pradervand, blessings and gratitude, etc. Very inspiring reading. Thank you for sharing it.
When I first came to Christian Science, like Moses came to the back of Mount Sinai, I was shown how to approach the most high God, with gratitude and not with complaints. It’s amazing, sometimes, how often I am reminded to dwell in this secret place of the Most High, where all blessings abound.
Thank you, Evan, for reminding us, once again, to be thankful.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, and all!
“In grateful awe of God” by Annette Kreutziger-Herr from the November 20, 2017 issue of The Christian Science Sentinel:

Wow dear J, thanks for that great article by Annette Kreutziget-Herr!
WhenI listen to that quite long article on real Gratitude and praising God, I have the feeling, that I’m not thankful enough. But it comforts me that Gratitude is a healing quality of God which we all express naturally. At least I am much longing to praise our good God and be very thankful for His abundant Goodness everyday!
Thanks dear Evan for the thanksgiving Psalm and your Love to give us your daily SpiritView !
And thanks to God for Christ Jesus and Mrs. Eddy!
Thank you J for the link to this wonderful article. I especially loved this prayerful statement:
“My consciousness belongs to God. I will not let one of my thoughts or one of my feelings be used to deny that God is good. I will be a good host to gratitude.”
May this be my daily prayer as well. Thanksgiving blessings to all seekers here at Spiritview and especially to Evan for his inspired postings.
This collection of beautiful words of thanks – giving is so cherished and
appreciated. Thank you, every one, for such loving and lovely gifts
of gratitude, shared.
I have a little jar that I put little notes of thanks for things that I am thankful
for. I realized I hadn’t deposited thoughts into it for a while and just the other
day, contributed to the thoughts already there, which is an abundance.
Hymn # 374 comes to mind in appreciating all of these endearing qualities
that we are blessed with .. It starts out … :
“We thank Thee and we bless Thee, O Father of us all, . . The e’en before we
ask Thee Thou hear’st Thy children’s call. We praise Thee for Thy goodness
And tender, constant care, . . We thank Thee, Father – Mother, That Thou hast
heard our prayer ….” . So lovely.
Carol that’s a lovely idea to put notes of gratitude into a jar. When we see how full it gets we can’t help but recognize how much good our dear God is showering on us. I’ve heard of something a bit similar called a God Box, where people write down on a piece of paper something they’re praying about and then release it into God’s care symbolically by placing the paper into the God Box. Looking back into the box at a later time they are often amazed at how each thing worked out once released to Him.
Oh Yes, Rose … I have a God box, too! Mine is a little heart-shaped tin
that I write down and put thoughts in that I am leaving up to God. It
really is amazing how many things have come about while “letting go
and letting God”. Most … actually. There are a few on-going ones that
continue to bless, even if not yet seen, but there have been many through
the years that are truly God-sent proofs of God’s ever-present caring for us.
Thank you, Rose, for the reminder of this.
thanks
Evan thanks for directing our thought today to Psalm 100, so inspiring and joy-filled. It gives us wise instruction on how to interact with God, it is full of verbs – Shout (with Joy), Worship (with gladness), Sing, Acknowledge, Praise, Enter, Give thanks. This gives us plenty of wholesome, productive direction if we’re ever at a loss about what to do.
Also love the line about our being His sheep. This theme has come up before on SV showing how healing is this mindset (June 24 and Oct 30, 2024) along with mentions of Lona Ingwerson’s fabulous YouTube video ‘The Twenty Third Psalm.’
Sending love and gratitude and Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Thanks dear Joan! I also love the middle passage of your comment which is a wonderful saying of Mrs. Eddy. I would like to make it to my saying, as well.
Lots of love and thanks to you all for your inspiring insites, dear SpiritView friends!♡
“365 Blessings to heal myself and the World” by Pierre – gives thanks to God for the “support machine You have given us called the human body”.
This is certainly not true according to the teachings of Christian Science. This one statement alone is enough for me to not read any further.
Let’s be true, as students of Christian Science, to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who founded her church on ” the inspired word of the Bible”, …
… and the inspired word of the Holy Bible is spiritual and not at all human or material. God made man to His, Spirit’s image and likeness. Mrs. Eddy says that we are the temple of the holy Ghost (Spirit). What Mrs. Eddy wrote she also proved to the highest degree!!! Thank God for Spirit, Truth and Love and all good. ❤️
P.S.
the book (?) referred to by Pierre was sent as a link in a comment by a SV reader today.
I am grateful for SpiritView.
