When in doubt, always tell the truth.

  1. as the Bible says, “ask with faith, not doubting anything because doubt is like the wave of the sea that the wind pushes from here to there,” whenever doubt tempts us, as I understand declare the Truth. What did our beloved Jesus do when he was tempted in the desert? I doubt? He declared the Truth and was released. Whenever a doubt must automatically lean towards the Truth, declare it and deny the illusion or false pretense of not telling the Truth. The one who doubts is always the carnal mind and the Truth the Christ in action. Very good day for all, that we can not doubt will be wonderful, it is already wonderful … to discover it !!!!! Blessings.

  2. Yes, Evan, thank you so much, always tell the truth, as the Truth is real, not doubt.
Sometimes one might feel guilty if the healing is not going on immediately, one might think not having enough faith or seems to doubt. But that is not true! I find the following words from MBEddy in SH very comforting and assuring on page 387, that God our heavenly Father gives us faith and understanding whereby to defend ourself from temptation and bodily suffering.

Thanks to the Holy Bible and Christ Jesus and thanks to Mary Baker Eddy and in the presence today thanks to our churches, practitioners, teachers and lecturers bringing us and the world the loving caring God near to our understanding!

  3. Thank you, Evan, for opening another topic for discussion.
And thank you Gustavo for your post! It is so very helpful
for me to put Truth in this perspective!
And thank you to Uta for reminding us to be grateful
for our churches, practitioners, teachers and lecturers!
I always am grateful, but it is good to have it voiced!!

  4. Ya, good advice because we’re not just talking to a human peer we’re also talk with God who already knows the truth because our creator is the infinite inescapable truth.

  5. Wonderful healing thoughts this morning. Thank you all so much. I am so grateful for Christian Science and everyone who posts here. Blessings to you all this day.

  6. It is much easier to tell the facts, if necessary.

Some saying in the NC area use term of of to hair it over, adding a little white lie.

It is much to tell the truth and live with it. Either it is or it isn’t.

I believe in CS we find it easier in searching for the truth for which we receive our help.

  7. We also need to tell ourselves the truth also. Sometimes we look in the mirror and don’t like what we see or discouraged with ourselves, etc. God loves what he sees about us, He’s never discouraged or disheartened etc with us. Why don’t we see everything from His perspective? That’s the truth/Truth.
Enjoy your day, you delightful idea!

  8. Thanks, all. Truth is A#1 in life. As I’ve been told, “Tell the truth concerning the lie,” which brings healing into our experience. In this so-called human life, too, honesty and telling the truth is being trustworthy. I’ve always stressed the importance of being honest in raising my kids, and they’ve told me it has protected them many times. Seeing others and ourselves as God sees us is being truly honest. Thank you, Evan, and all this morning!

  9. Hello Tyke. I find your comment very interesting. I liked the mirror. Your idea is that you have to look at the perspective with which Jesus looked to heal, as MBE says that Jesus saw in Science the perfect man and that way of seeing the perfect man as a reflection of God healed … Very beautiful quote from Mrs. Eddy.

  10. Thank you Evan and all. I, too, am so grateful for our local CS churches, practitioners, teachers, lecturers and nurses. Most grateful to Mrs. Eddy and the dedicated workers at The Mother Church and The Publishing Society for Science & Health and all the periodicals that spread the Truth all around the world. Grateful to the Mother Church and Publishing Society for keeping up with technology; thus making the Truth available to so many seekers of Truth with the click of a button. We are recipients of these gifts every day.

    1. Thank you, Mary Ann, for counting all the precious things in our wonderful church to be very grateful for.

I am tuning in to your gratitude for all those institutions our Motherchurch is launching in order to bless humanity!
