Accept your perfection, Part I

January 12, 2023 | 33 comments

Have you accepted your perfection?

God made you perfect, in the divine image and likeness. Your divine identity is healthy, strong, intelligent, free, sound, happy and inspired. It is wholly good, and it is a joy to live out and express.

There is only one you—the perfect spiritual you. Anything less than perfection is not you nor part of your identity.

If suffering, it’s a call to examine the model accepted in thought. Ask, Is it less than ideal? Is it less than perfection? If so, the spiritual demand is to cast out the lesser model and let the spiritual idea of God’s creating take its place. This allows healing to happen.

Each moment is an opportunity to live out our perfection sustained and supported by God, and to experience its blessings.

As the Bible teaches, “Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace” (Psalms 37:37). Peace is found when we accept perfection as our ideal.

Accept the best. Live out the best!

  1. This is priceless Evan…just what I need right now !
I made a note of this extract from a Monitor article dated Feb 22 by Blythe Evan…

‘Divine Mind is the source of all consciousness, and we are the reflection and expression of this one infinite Being. This Mind knows us not as vulnerable mortals, but as the protected and instructed offspring of Spirit, God. Acknowledging this spiritual reality brings the confidence that prayer can reveal whatever is needed to resolve a situation. ‘
We are all so blessed ❣️

  2. Wow. When I woke up this morning I kept declaring “perfect God, perfect man.” Your message is exactly what I needed. We’re not fixing matter but knowing and rejoicing in our perfection now.
    THANK YOU.

  3. Thank you Evan. The perfect nature of man is all there is. By knowing this healings take place for that’s who man truly is, “Perfect man”.

  4. Thanks Evan, this is just what I need. I have been declaring over and over that I am the EXACT reflection of God’s perfection!!!

  5. Camp Owatonna in Harrison, Maine, is for children in the Christian Science Sunday school. When it opened in 1922, it was called Camp Ropioa — an acronym for REFLECTION OF PERFECTION IS OUR AIM.

    1. J – thank you so much for sharing this article – it is so helpful to understand more
clearly that we are not to try to be humanly perfect, because that would be a great
strain, and not actually possible – but that we just need to know and be in accord with the divine perfection. That also takes some effort – the relinquishing of all material beliefs about ourselves and others, and identifying ourselves and our fellow man as God’s perfect reflection – spiritual
and intact, and living it accordingly. Much listening and humility is required on my part I feel.
I need to be continually alert to keep out false suggestions in order,, as Evan states, “to live out our perfection sustained and supported by God, and to experience its blessings.” But to know we are supported by God in this, is so helpful and encouraging.

I am in great need of thismessage today, so thank you Evan, and J. for the article.

    2. Thank you for sharing this beautiful article. It really hit the mark for me. As always Evan, I am so grateful for your shepherding us all to higher levels of thinking .that lead us “beside the still waters”.

    3. Thank you very much “J” for this article about our real perfection!
Perfectionism as is mentions in this article, is mere human will, and divine perfection is a reflection of God, which we express naturally.
Thank you very much, Evan for your so loving SpiritView teaching and explaining us our real spiritual perfection!-♡

  6. Thanks Evan and all! “Perfect God and perfect man, co- perfect since the world began, and still co- perfect in his eternal plan!”

From a poem by Peter Henniker-Heathen. (Sp)

  7. Thanks much Evan……and everyone! Reassuring to know so many others are eager to better understand and live out this critical truth of our being.

  8. I am so grateful for SpiritView. It is like a little gift in my inbox every morning.
Each day’s post is like a treatment, and I find that the topics are usually what I needed to read that particular day ( proving that there is only one Mind.) I have had several healings that were prompted by reading the day’s SpiritView.
Thank you ,Evan, for providing my daily bread.

  9. Thank you, Evan and everyone. The article cited by Elaina is wonderful–so inspiring–and I recommend it unreservedly! Not human “perfectionism” but divine reflection promotes healing, confidence, and growing daily recognition of Love’s allness governing each and every one of us. What blessings this brings!
With love and gratitude to Evan and all,
    Karen

  10. Thank you Evan and all that have contributed today. We can never get to much of God’s allness expressed and to recognize where our true perfection lies. God doesn’t know us any way but perfect and guides us each day to see this perfection in so many ways. We just have to acknowledge it and move forward!

  11. I love the name badge in the photo above, “Hello, I am- Perfect”. That is our spiritual name, our true identity, as God made us and maintains us and sees us.

The topic today is Accept Your Perfection Part 1, looking forward to Part two! I’ve often thought it would be good to linger on a topic for more than one day to continue to share and explore it more deeply. Much love to all of you!

  12. As we come to accept our own spiritual perfection we can likewise recognize that same perfection in everyone we encounter. “Hello I am perfect and you are perfect!” There is a word in the Sanskrit language Namaste, which means the divine in me salutes/acknowledges the divine in you. Very similar and beautiful concept.

  13. I can not be reminded enough that I am perfect as God.
Thank you Evan and all here sharing it is much appreciated.

  14. I am perfect reflection/expression/embodiment of Creator/Source’s/God’s perfect blueprint for me, today!
You are a perfect reflection/expression/embodiment of Creator/Source’s/God’s perfect blueprint for you, today!

  15. Wonderful! Every morning when we awake is our opportunity to claim our perfection, our immortality, our natural ability to shine and be God’s infinite design.

  16. Thank you Evan! Just what I needed too as I prayed earlier today about my perfection.
Rose NY reminded me that when my younger brother first went to Sunday school and the teacher said what is your name he replied Gods perfect child 🙂

  17. Thank you Evan and all for your clear statements of truth, with a capital T—like our Bible Lesson this week! I truly appreciate all your sharing from week to week. It reminds me today of our Hymn 105 words, verse 2: Help us to build each other up, Our little stock improve; Increase our faith, confirm our hope, And perfect us in love.”
