Sighs and groans are the language of faultfinders.
~ James Lendall Basford (1845–1915)
Are your days full of sighs and groans or gratitude and rejoicing?
The faultfinder finds things to complain about. The Truth seeker finds reasons to rejoice.
Be a Truth seeker, rather than a fault finder. See what God sees and rejoice over it.
Let the praise of gratitude flow from your mouth rather than the sighs and groans of complaint. Everyone will be happier, including yourself.
This is such an inspired message, Evan. Thank you ever so much.
Amen!

Thank you J for this excellent article, and for all the others you post.
Thank you! Excellent!
Hm. Does God not see what is opposed to him, what is not of him?

Thank you, Evan, for today’s SpiritView, and thank you, J, for the podcast by James Early. Excellent! For Doug Reed, I thought I might share something I heard Dr. Laurence Doyle say in a lecture. The sun, which is light, was asked a question about the dark. When the sun tried to look for the dark, it could not see it, and ended up saying, “Where?” (Everywhere the sun looked, the darkness disappeared.. In the same way, God, being entirely light, cannot see darkness (or, “what is opposed to him, what is not of him” as you wrote). If God is All, and He is, and the all that He is is only good, how could He see the opposite of Himself?
J thank you for the link to The Bible Speaks to You podcast. It’s excellent. And thank you Cheryl for the reminder of Dr. Laurence Doyle’s about how light can’t ever see darkness.
Thank you dear J for this wonderfully clear Podcast by James.Early! it’s very helpful to understand Christ Jesus’ healing work and his oneness with his Father-Mother God!!
Thank you! Lovely!

does the light see the dark?
“The question of evil” by Nate Talbot:

Hi Doug, thanks for your question. I am thinking along the same lines as Cheryl (thanks Cheryl esp. for the Laurence Doyle reference, he is so interesting). The basic teaching in CS is that God is all, and completely good. I admit that can seem like an abstract concept – to mortal mind. But as we continue to ponder it and ask God to help us understand, I think it can have more and more of a sense of being the actual Reality. The light of God destroys any sense of evil. God only knows what He is, what He made, and what He continually reflects — perfect man, perfect universe.
Wow, excellent reminder. I do a lot of rejoicing but yes, I am guilty of the sighs and moans, too. I will watch my thoughts and words more closely.
Thank you, Evan. This is a gem.
Waking up with sighs and moans and seeing materialism is distressing
and depressing. What God sees is not matter, but spiritual. Trying to
see what God sees is not easy sometimes – most times, but is worth
the harmony and peaceful feelings that comes with the awakening of
gratitude for all that we have to be grateful for. Thank you, Evan and
all for these spiritual gifts of enlightenment here on Spirit view.
As usual, Evan’seems prescient–just last night I realized I was guilty of those ‘sighs and groans’–I had just returned from a lovely beach trip with my three sisters but in recalling our time together, I had grumbled and complained about several things instead of being grateful for just the opportunity to be with family–it was a sharp reminder and wakeup call to be on guard against ingratitude’s ‘sighs and groans’.

Let The Grateful One Be Me by Melissa Hayden. A wonderful, healing article. ❣️
Thank you, Evan. Right on time! Speaking of time, yesterday I was mulling over how to address a few members who always arrive five or 10 minutes late to church services (for years!). I was thinking how it’s not principled and it’s not loving to themselves as they’re missing out on that peaceful time before the service where you get to settle and be quiet and listen to the beautiful music. But then your post made me realize I should just be grateful that they’re present and to let them work out their own salvation. We are each learning the lessons we need.
“Let the praise of gratitude flow from your mouth rather than the sighs and groans of complaint. Everyone will be happier, including yourself.” Thank you Evan, I do need this. I think of myself as basically a very positive person, leaning on God’s view in all things, as much as I can. But I notice, as we all likely do at times, some “sighs and groans” of complaint coming out of my mouth or popping up in thought. Especially as I join in with co-workers in complaining about our company. It seems like a form of bonding or cameraderie, but not a healthy one.
I’m sure God can show me better ways to bond with my co-workers; as Evan says, everyone will be happier, especially me. God help me see what you see and find more and more reasons to be grateful and rejoice.
wonderfuk, dear. J. this article about healing gratitude! Thank you very much for sharing these valuable ideas on one of the most important divine qualities,, GRATITUDE!♡
dear Evan, thank you dearly for this utmost important reminder, not to judge but to love and be grateful and spend joy!!
Well said Cheryl!
Doyle has such insight when it comes to light.
Thank you Evan as well
I always think sighs and moans are errors way of expressing through human beings a need for attention to its material needs. If we are expressing God there is no need for sighs and moans.
❤️ Gratitude doeth the heart good ❤️ Thank you Evan
Thank you, all. Lovely and helpful thoughts, resources, and teachings! And thank YOU, Evan!
