Are you taking action?

“I must do something” always solves more problems than “Something must be done.”

It’s easy to sit around and complain about troubles that need resolving, and continue to complain while nothing changes. But it’s productive to get up and do something that improves circumstances.

Be the one that makes the positive difference!

  1. Yes, we are activists. But SPIRITUAL ACTIVISTS, huh!
Yes, Mrs. Eddy tells us that human footsteps are indispensable,
but a-f-t-e-r prayer and listening. ;<)

(Ask me how I know the above is a Better Plan than Rushing-About-Smartly-with-Human-Will in charge. Sigh)

I am–gratefully–learning to listen sooner, and hopefully better, to the ever-present and wise guidance of divine Mind, divine wisdom.

    Thank you, Christian Science!

  2. It is right to pray about medical troubles that need resolving, and continue to pray even though nothing is yet changing for the better. Don’t give up. Hang in there. Scripture says to Trust in the Lord with all your might, and lean not upon your human understanding. I will never fail you, nor forsake you, ever.

These kind of thoughts are not the same as thoughts that have to do with sitting around complaining. Real prayer, with believing and love, is doing what is best. This is my faith-filled perspective.

  3. “I can of mine ownself do nothing. It is the Father within me that doeth the work.” Jesus. God-Guided Action is always the Best! But we do need to take Action, after quiet listening. After we have started moving in one direction, we might be guided to turn around and go in another direction, but at least we have taken some action and that starts things moving! Happy Independence Day Weekend to all in the U. S. A.!!

  4. Love this quote! “I must DO something” is my new response to troubles that need resolving. Thanks Evan. Inspiring, action propelling blog, as usual. (=

  5. Thank you very much Evan for this important spiritual reminder.
As an image and likeness of God we should always be aktive in expressing all of Gods precious qualities He bestowed on us – am grateful for all the good and productive qualities, God gave us!
