Be kind to others

Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment.
~ Jesus Christ, Matthew 7:1, The Message

  1. What a beautiful message. So true for our homes…our work places ….our leisure pursuits..our close community and how about World Peace !
Thank you Evan …great start for the day❣️

  2. Love this!! Thank you! Some thoughts I have come across on being kind …
    (Authors Unknown) ….

    “Before you speak, let your words pass through 3 gates;
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?”

“I am not impressed by money, social status or job title. I am .. impressed
by the way someone treats other [human] beings”

“In a world that often feels overwhelming, it’s the small, daily acts of
kindness that have the power to make the greatest impact”

“Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness and caring to change a
    person’s life” – Jackie Chan

“Try to be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud” – Maya Angelou

      1. I love those quotes, Carol,, and particularly the last one about being a rainbow in someone else’s cloud – that it really lovely.
        Thank you for sharing them.

      2. Thank you so much for your comments, dear Patty,
Linda and Maggie. I always feel such kindness from
everyone here and it means so much. Here are a
        couple of other quotes :
“If you have to choose between being kind and being
right, choose being kind and you are always right”. … and
“Be kind … for everyone you meet is fighting a battle
you know nothing about” – Wendy Mass (Of course in
CS, the ideal is seeing everyone as God’s dear child, but
sometimes a “humanly” kind thought or action towards
someone helps to brighten their day).
        : )

        1. Thank you dearly, Carol for your wonderful quotes; they are true and helpful and very loving. That’s most important! I love them all!♡

Thank you Evan! Your today’s SpiritView reminds me on the 6th (Glaubenssatz) .
“And we promise solemly to watch and pray that that mind be in us that also was in Christ Jesus. To do others as we want them to do us. And be mercyful, righteous and pure.”

          1. Thanks, dear Uta, for your kind remark. And yes,
Evan’s message today is like, “Do unto others as
you would like them to do to you”. A reciprocation
of kindness is love reflected in Love.

  3. In the book, Life after Life, Raymond Moody interviewed people around the world who “came back” after being declared dead. Many had the desire to learn more and to be loving to others. I realized myself that when you smile at people, you are expressing love. That is one way of showing love everyday and expressing Divine Love!

    1. I have a new young postman. I went to get my mail and saw him coming; so I waited for him. I said, “You know I still send a lot of letters out and I love getting my mail.” He said, “And I love delivering it to you.”

  4. Wonderful reminders to be kinder, not criticizing constantly, be aware of what is coming out of your mouth.
