Be open to beneficent gifts

March 21, 2025 | 17 comments

Are you feeling like something good is being withheld from you?  Another person isn’t coming through with a promise, a boss is not understanding, or a family member is not cooperating as they should.  If so, look further!

God is the source of the good you seek.  Go directly to the source!

As the apostle James writes, “Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father…” (James 1:17, NLT).

Whatever it is you think you need, translate it into a spiritual idea.  Money is supply is ideas coming from divine Mind.  Affection is love coming directly from divine Love, the source of all love.  Peace is harmony in mind which results from feeling close to God.  Health is a state of Mind, found in divine Mind.  And the list goes on.

Whatever you think you lack materially, find it spiritually.  Divine gifts abound.

Be open to the gifts God is sending your way!  Any sense of lack will vanish.

    1. Oh, MB – this is so Beautiful!! and is so Lovely, as is Evan’s message. Like the entire
      message and photo, above, God/Love is with us and lights the way to everything
      Good … God’s way. Wherever we go or wherever we are, GOD is there, with us,
      comforting, guiding, loving us in such a gentle and divinely spiritual way.
      And Yes, SpiritView IS truly a gift from God. A heavenly, wonderful cohesion that bonds
      us all together in Unity as One. We are so very blessed to have a “Happy GOD day”…
      Every Day!
      : )

  2. What an insightful message today to lift off false burdens of matter and look for the light as in the photo! Also thank you MB for your GPS!

  3. Thank you dear Angel for your loving comment.

    Hymnal 342 I find very suitable for today’s SV:

    This is the day the Lord hath made;
    Be glad, give thanks, rejoice;
    Stand in His presence. unafraid,
    In praise lift up your voice.
    All perfect gifts are from above,
    And all our blessings show
    The amplitude of God’s dear love
    Which every heart may know.

    The Lord will hear before we call,
    and every need supply;
    Good things are freely given to all
    Who on His word rely
    We come today to bring Him praise.
    Not for such gifts alone,
    But for the higher, deeper ways
    In which.His love is shown.

    For sin destroyed, for sorrow healed
    For health and peace restored;
    For Life and Love by Truth reveaked,
    We thank and bless the Lord.
    This is the day the Lord hath made,
    In praise lift up your voice,
    In shining robes of joy arrayed,
    Be glad, give thanks, rejoice.”

    Thank you dearly, Evan for today’s comforting and healing SpiritView for a lovely weekend where God gives us all freely and abundantly all of His divine. Goodness! ❤️

  4. Re God Day
    How wonderful that we all express things verbally without always knowing the spiritual message behind it. For instance. We all say Good day, and Good morning, Good evening when we meet and part. If people only realized there is only 1 good and that is God as Jesus told us. They would see they were actually declaring God’s day Lately I have been thinking how many times a person speaks words and phrases that have such profound meanings without knowing. It is the inherent understanding that is in us all that surfaces without one even realizing it and even though it may just sometimes seem a repetition of words it comes from a deep source.
    Have a Good day everyone and thank you for so many wonderful expressions of Love I find here

    1. Thanks Truus, when we say good day, good night etc, we are actually declaring God, good, and blessing the person we say it to.

      I found this on dictionary.com, – “All these greetings represent an abbreviation of the now obsolete ‘God give you a good day” (afternoon, etc.), which dates from about 1200.”

  5. Thank you Evan and all. It takes humility and discipline to exchange the material things we think we need/want into the spiritual substance/ideas that God is always granting. I embrace this loving directive, now.

  6. The Christ Light expressed in the foto leads us to God, the source of all the Good we seek! So wonderful!
    Thank you deeply dear Evan!
    And here are so good comments, thank you all very much for your lovely inspirations! ❤️

  7. Good advice here Evan, “Whatever it is you think you need, translate it into a spiritual idea”. Mortal mind does not see it this way, it would rather us continue to ruminate on and mentally magnify what we think we lack. But we know that mortal mind (which is not our Mind) does not have our best interests at heart. It tries to keep us in the dark, distracted from seeing all the bountiful gifts of God that are available to us without interruption, if only we just turn a little bit to see and receive.

    Above scripture James 1:17 in the KJV- “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is NO VARIABLENESS, neither shadow of turning.”

    1. Thank you, wonderful, dear Rose!
      The mortal mind is not our mind – so helpful!
      The divine Mind is our only Mind!!
      Oh how comforting and helpful!, dear Rose!!

  8. If you are like me, sometimes we feel overwhelmed. We don’t know where
    we fit in to the “Big Picture” and sometimes feel like a stranger in a strange world,
    where all about us are what seem to be “real” or image-enhanced delusions (of
    grandeur) that so-called mortal mind has dreamed up. I have been pondering …
    Are these the “gifts” of true Spirit or are they counterfeits as to what is really
    important in our lives? Do mortal “gifts” fulfill permanently or are they fleeting
    propensities, leaving us always searching for more, but never truly satisfied,
    because they are limited, temporary, and not filled with Soul/Spirit, but superficial,
    not lasting, not the true source of Good or God, that we Really seek.
    It is not easy, especially in these media/tech-driven immediate gratification times
    or when we least wish to, but like in Hymn #50, we must try to hear the “still small
    voice of calm … Take from us now the strain and stress [of not knowing so many
    things or sometimes where we are headed] And let our ordered lives confess The
    beauty of Thy peace … The beauty of Thy peace.”

  9. MARK, UTA, ROSE, BLESSED, TRUUS, NANCY, ANGEL, SHEILA, MB AND JAN have just brought me up to speed on the subject of “lack of understanding” and I am grateful from the bottom of my heart for the MIND that is GOD’S, teaching me all things from such a group of ‘givers’. Each of your reflections and contributions can be used for the “last Wednesday’s lesson in March” which is to be read by me at that service. At our church, I love each member’s contribution shared on Wednesday’s healing service, as we rotate each week. The lesson on hearing the “still small voice of calm… brings a healing message for all to share at that meeting. Filled with gratitude Thank you..
