Benefit from the opportunity

We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.

~ Chuck Swindoll

  1. Beautiful photo, it says to me that we are on the upward path, rising above all the material noise and misinformation about reality to look out and see something bright and new — the clear view, the God view, the SpiritView.

Thank you Evan for the Chuck Swindoll quote and the verse from Matthew. Both state that though many things seem impossible when viewed materially — to God, whom we reflect, they are not impossible, maybe not even difficult. The only way to find out is to trust Him, humbly and wholly.

      1. Thank you for the kind comment dear SpiritView Lover. Your name here expresses how we all feel about this wonderful platform where we meet. Grateful. We meet in the Mind of God.

    1. Another beautiful poem, Ken. Thank you for those promising words and reading. Evan and Jesus are right — all things are possible with God.

  2. I love the message today, just say yes and let God prepare your way.

And Ken’s poem is so inspiring and lends to much comfort.

Thank you all for your good prayerful thoughts today, it is so appreciated.

  3. As clear transparencies for God’s effective power, we have no personal sense, no push, no struggle. Jesus said, “I can of mine own self do nothing.” Every challenge, “opportunity,” is our cue to get out of the way, allow Love to work. Thank you God.

    1. Thanks William E. your comment made me think of this quote from P. 295 S&H, “The manifestation of God through mortals is as light passing through the window-pane….The mortal mind through which Truth appears most vividly is that one which has lost much materiality—much error—in order to become a better transparency for Truth.”

I listened today to this short talk by CS practitioner Mark Unger, in which he talks more about being that clear transparency.

It’s called ‘God is the Healer, So What is Our Part?’

      1. Thank you so much, dear Rose, for sharing this great talk. The clarity of
his demonstrating each experience he had, really put in perspective the
points he was making. I was particularly fascinated by the HOA situation
he was having with the building of a shed. I had a similar experience with
the zoning committee when I added on my garage, here. After going back
and forth for a few months, also, because of setback restrictions, their
meeting times, etc., I, too, was beginning to get frustrated and prayer then
became an intricate part of the equation. Thankfully the gentleman that did
the building went with me and had the answers needed of slope and a lot
of other technical aspects that I didn’t have a clue about. I had to change
my thought towards one gentleman on the board who seemed quite rude
and didn’t even look at the photos and drawings I had so painstakingly
taken and actually he was looking the other way pretty much during the whole presentation. At this point, I was actually turning it all over to God, as it was
way above what my understanding of it all was, anyway.
At that very time, everything became smooth and the presentation was finally
acceptable. A while later, that same gentleman happened to come to present a
petition asking if I would sign. I had no animosity towards him at all. I asked him
how he liked the garage, (that we were standing right next to). He said, “Oh, is
that the garage?” He had helped approve of something it seemed he knew nothing about. But God knew and answered the need, as always when we put Him first.

  4. Family members and I were visiting another state
over the weekend. Driving to the airport Sunday
morning, there were miles of beautiful evergreens.
    I said, I’m in Church.

Beauty representing Soul, Life showing forth life,
    Spirit pointing to infinity.
Yes it was lovely, and easy to feel Church. The structure of Truth and Love; whatever rests upon and proceeds from divine Principle. Science and Health p. 583

Yes, it is easy to feel being in Church in similar
situations. But what about the “impossible situations?”
That is when being in Church is meaningful.

“The Church is that instituting, which affords proof of its utility and is found elevating the race, rousing the dormant understanding from material beliefs to the appreciation of spiritual ideas and the demonstration of divine Science, thereby casting out devils, or error, and healing the sick.

Church, affords proof, is found elevating, rousing understanding, appreciation of spiritual ideas.
What better place is there to be in thought, every
    minute.
    Thanks Evan, and everyone.

  5. The brilliance and inspiration of this profound message is wonderful and I thank you all
for sharing. Your poem is lovely, also, Ken.

As so often is the case, CS Hymn #123 Randomly opened today – God’s divine words of
wisdom like a welcoming open door to heavenly ways…

“How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord, ..
Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word.
What more can He say than to you…He hath said
To you who to God for your refuge have fled…
Fear not, I am with thee O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God, I will still give thee aid:
I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand
Upheld by My gracious, omnipotent hand…
When through fiery trials thy pathway shall lie
    My grace, all sufficient shall be thy supply;
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Thy dross to consume and they gold to refine.”

Am off to do some grocery shopping where the store is a ways from here… a rainy
day, but it is still beautiful and knowing any aggressive drivers will be in harmony,
the sticker shock of prices will be subdued and all IS Well. God’s provisions are
for all of us and heavenly Love is with us all. (Just noticed in the beautiful photo
above, where the pathway extends Beyond where I first saw it to be. I didn’t notice
that at first). Love leads the way…

    1. Thank you dearly “J” for this article. Wow I’m very glad I read it, so needed. ♡

Thank you very much, Evan for this profound, absolute Truth: everything is possible to God. I would also like to put it the other way round “everything is possible to MAN as God’s perfect, loved image and likeness, created very good, as this week’s lesson preaches it to us. O, am I grateful for today’s revolutionary truth sentence, for the weekly lesson sermons, for Christian Science, God’s endless Love for us all!♡

      1. Thank you Uta your thought ( God’sMind is always positive!
Evan, the picture that shows we are always few steps from the Kingdom! Blessing to u snd fir all members!

      2. I think, it’s clear, i.e. whatever is possible with God (and there a l l is possible) is also possible to His perfect idea, man!!!
Thank God, that we learn that in CS which Mrs. Eddy discovered and founded for mankind, and I am grateful for her healing book “Science and Health with key to the Scriptures” ♡

Dear Ken, thank you for your very comforting Poem, and so very lovely performed!♡

  6. God’s ever presence and Power… Jesus and Mrs. Eddy – each were the “Grreat
Dane” of Unconditional Love reflections, as was my Mom. Even though Jesus and
we didn’t have that much, mortally speaking, she always instilled in me the Truth of
Jesus’ saying, “Such as I have, give I you”. For that thoughtfulness, I am so grateful
and try to demonstrate however I can, what that entails.
God’s Goodness and Power gives us the basis of what is Really important in Life…
Love, Peace of Mind, Harmony and Sharing through understanding of abundance,
even if humanly we may not have that much to offer, but Spiritually we are over-
joyed to share blessings that we do have and these “opportunities” to prove
demonstrably in our lives, that with God, “all things Are possible”.
In pondering this more, Hymn 202 came to mind and therein:
“He [Christ] comes anew, to humble hearts revealing, the mounting footsteps of
the upward way… To give thee confidence for all thy fears”. The open book of our
hearts, open our eyes that we may see God’s presence.
It costs a candle nothing to light another candle and the brightness of the candle’s
flame is not dimmed at all by sharing with another, multiplying that brightness. A
lovely thought and True. I thank you all for sharing your light here today.

  7. Dear Carol, thank you very ery much that you share your light here with us so lovingly! And thanks for mentioning hymn 202; I love it and immediately looked it up in our hymnal book. Yes, Carol, I also would say, in our prayers we can see and feel God’s loving presence. Thanks very much for your inspiring comment♡
