Conquering fatigue

September 28, 2026 | 5 comments

Do you tire easily?  Are you looking for more energy as you go about your day?  If so, look for it in Spirit.

Spirit is your divine energy source.  All the strength, energy, power, might and capacity you need to flourish comes directly to you from Spirit.  It always has and always will.

People who look for it in matter eventually lose it for it is not there.  Real energy and strength are not in muscles, but in Mind, in the Mind of Spirit.

If muscles are governed by mortal mind fears, they may tire out and become useless.  When governed by divine Mind, they move with ease and perform properly.

Mary Baker Eddy writes, “You say, ‘Toil fatigues me.’ But what is this me?  Is it muscle or mind?  Which is tired and so speaks?  Without mind, could the muscles be tired?  Do the muscles talk, or do you talk for them?”  (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 217).

To stay on top of things, be sure to issue the proper instructions for good outcomes.

Instead of seeing yourself as a weak mortal, see yourself the way God sees you—as a strong enduring healthy immortal.  Tell the body the truth of your being, and it will respond favorably.

As a child of God, you are plugged into your divine energy source now, into the infinite energy and strength of Spirit.  Spiritual sense is your connection to this heavenly source of strength.  Use it well and use it abundantly!

  1. Thank you for this Evan. After yet another disturbed and weary night with a long-standing restless leg issue, I was so grateful to read this today. I have often turned to Mrs Eddy’s quote about muscles and found it helpful. This belief will yield! Onward and upward! L.x

    1. Hi Linda…hope the following opens another window of thought for you…
      God’s Care
      DORIS HARRISON WHITE
      God’s loving arm upholds you,
His care surrounds you still;
Rest in this sweet assurance,
Nor doubt how good His will.
      See all that would oppose Him—
Alike unreal, untrue;
Know health and peace and plenty
Abound in Him for you.
      Let gratitude and gladness
Replace each anxious fear;
Love giveth you dominion—
The Truth that frees is here!
      Isn’t it beautiful…hugs B.x

  2. I’ve been dealing with low energy for years. Falling asleep at work a lot in the day time. Then gave into taking a sleep apnea test and apparently I have a “severe version” of it. Also I found out I was low in Vitamin B12. This can also affect energy levels. (Sorry for this medical talk on a Christian Science orientated blog). But it makes me wonder. How do you pray these suggestions away ? Well, I guess what you said above is the prayer…no mater what the medical system will pin fatigue or lack of energy to be the “reason”. Spirit as the our infinite energy source, as we are made in the reflection of God (Divine Love, Divine Spirit, Divine life). I will just have to cling to this concept and cherish it a lot more deeply as my way out of having no energy to do anything after work. If you have specific metaphysical arguments that can more specifically address the health claims above, it would be most appreciated. John in Canada.
