Question. — What is man?
Answer. — Man is not matter; he is not made up of brain, blood, bones, and other material elements. The Scriptures inform us that man is made in the image and likeness of God.

You are infinitely more than a physical body with muscles, bones and nerves. You have a spiritual individuality made in the likeness of God that is incorporeal, immortal, spiritual!
This individuality is not subject to disease, or prey to discord. It is composed of spiritual substance that lasts forever and remains in good health.
This individuality doesn’t come with death. You already have it. It’s who you are now, this moment.
Identify yourself correctly. See what God sees. Know what God knows. It’s a spiritual view that heals.
“See what God sees, know what God knows,” is our assignment today. I’m praying to know how God knows and sees the 5 explorers who “perished” according to material sense, as the news reported yesterday. Many of us here on SV had expressed lovely prayers about this situation the other day and people around the world also prayed. So there can be a temptation to wonder about the effects of all that prayer.
I was comforted by a quote left late the other day on SV by Kaska Michaelis:
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus. The 5 people in the submarine are secure in God’s love. Praise God for His care and protection.”
And also PDW who said: “God bless all who ‘sailed’ in the Titan submersible, and on the Titanic also. There is no death. God’s blessings on all of us as we sail through life’s adventurous lessons.”
Such healing and uplifting thoughts from Rose too! Spirit View thought are so healing along with others comments!
Thank you Rose. I was tempted to be disappointed that our prayers didn’t seem to
bring results for these men. But then I thought, we are taught not to believe what the
material senses are portraying. whatever the material senses believe in, they are
not what God is knowing or seeing of His precious children. Prayers are always
effective, and we cannot always see the results, but we can keep knowing the
facts as quoted by you, Rose, via Kaska Michaelis, that we cannot be separated from
God for a moment. That is helpful to hold onto. We need to keep our thoughts
in line with the spiritual facts no matter what the material senses are trying to
convince us of. This will strengthen us spiritually and we will not get dragged down
into believing that these men perished, and that there is a material law that acts against
the Law of Love. There isn’t. God’s kingdom is established as perfect for ever and ever,
and man is forever safe and complete.
Thank you Maggie to reminded me that “ man is forever safe and complete” through the years at my low point I used to think yes God will be always around and always present , but me one day I have to go and God will take care of tnew people, like saying GOd has the best role in the play, me I’m just passing by. Of course. These thoughts were not CS, but the magnetic animal of the material senses were trying to put a wrong images in my thought. Today all my illusions sweep away and give places to the only God ( infinite good, and his expressions ) I think we are all spiritually smart to stop any thoughts that do not belong to the Kingdom. Thank you Maggie, for reminding us that prayers are ALWAYS effective, even if we cannot always know the results, or if we don’t seem to see results when looking from a material or worldly perspective. It’s comforting to remember that Truth is always true.
Thank you for all your lovely comments. It occurred to me also that God knows nothing of a sinking ship. All those on the titanic were and are safe in God’s care.
Man sees and experiences only what God sees. God doesn’t see danger and death so neither does man.

A little while ago, I awoke to this Angel message, “I wish you could see yourself the way I see you.” I had been struggling with something but this tender message reminded me that divine Love is closer than our own thought and certainly better than what mortal mind would try to convince us of. God sees, made and knows us only as spiritual, beloved and healthy ideas. Her precious children. Your “offering pure of love” today reminded me of that, so thank you!
I awoke with those angel messages “there is no death” and know the reason why. Your comments certainly expanded on that Truth.

Christian Science resists the dark side, knowing its absolute nothingness because of Gods absolute allness and onlyness.
I’ve been also including in my prayers the 300 migrants who drowned in the Mediterranean trying to get away from extreme human danger in their homeland by getting into an overcrowded boat which then capsized. Infinite divine Love is continuing to nurture them in safety as they proceed in their spiritual journey of growth and development and progress to understand their true spiritual nature. They, and Titan people, and all the human families affected are responding to our prayers by being comforted by the Comforter, by the Christ, by life, Truth, and Love, to know how to continue living in this earthy adventure!
Thank you , Nancy, for reminding us of the migrants who seemed to the material senses to have
drowned by those taking God’s role into their human hands for dodgy reasons, and leading them astray. But we can cherish their true identities not as unfortunate mortals, but every one as important and blessed children of God. They never left His care, and they will be knowing that now, as they awake from this mortal dream, and find a better life in Spirit.
Thank you for this, Evan. Too much identifying relating to gender or sex… such sweet freedom is found when we identify ourselves and others spiritually. “Man is spiritual and perfect; and because he is spiritual and perfect, he must be so understood in Christian Science.”

Wow! ~ This is such a wonderful congregation of spiritual
thinkers of Truth sharing this morning! How lovely … all of
the comments are so comforting and expressing such
uniqueness in their angel messages, but so collective in
the combination of God’s Spirit and Love.
I am reminded of when I visited the tribute to the 911
beautiful persons who Seemingly perished in the twin
towers. Being at that shrine of Eternal Life with the beams
of light shining to heaven (as described by Mrs. Eddy in
S&H pg 587, HEAVEN: Harmony; the reign of Spirit;
government by divine Principle; spirituality; bliss; the
atmosphere of Soul”), illuminated my thinking to a spiritual
level I had never felt before, where I could actually Feel
divine Love’s presence, as I did when my Mom passed on
to a higher plane of thought and the room saturated with
a heavenly light of peace and Oneness with God.
Thank you all for such divine sharing of God’s Love for
everyone, all identified as children of God.
Thank you Evan. Thank you all. Man is not material, he is spiritual. What a beautiful statement from Science and Health. Man will never be identified with phisique. Nothing has happened to any one in the seas. They were never present in the sea. They were always at home ( Mind) with their Father and forever would be. Let us rejoice in this Truth.

Thank you Evan….thank all of you who provided such insightful, inspiring and loving comments in today’s discussion. Motivational……. they have provided much sustenance for thought.
When confronted with a human tragedy, I’ve found much peace from recalling an incident where Mrs. Eddy speaks to a household member whose husband had not been healed of wounds sustained in the Civil War–Mrs. Eddy says, ‘So you believe there was a war?’ In realizing God’s Allness, in which nothing evil could be real, the man was healed. Although this was a tough lesson for me–especially as a CS newbie at the time–I came to understand the absolute truth behind the statement–it’s such a comfort to have this thought to lean on when sad news is reported.
Nan, this reminded me of an experience a serviceman had during WWII. While on a life raft in the Pacific, after many days (I think they set the record at over 40 days in a raft) he had a vision of God filling the whole sky. He was so awestruck he promised that if God would save him he would serve him for the rest of his life. (“Unbroken” the story of Louis Zamparini) I thought, wow. Right where human beings think there is a world war going on, a change in consciousness reveals what is really there, has been the whole time and always will be there–the true Mind which is God and is wonderful.

remember what war he was in … I think it was WW11, who
was protected by a small Bible that he had in his pocket,
where a bullet had been stopped by it.
God is always here for us when we reflect His presence and
glory in His wonderful Being.

I so appreciate today’s topic and uplifting commentary. Hymn 66 also offers great comfort in light of yesterday’s news. Here’s the second verse:
O perfect Life, in Thy completeness held,
None can beyond Thy omnipresence stray;
Safe in Thy Love, we live and sing alway
Alleluia! Alleluia!
The smiles on all of the happy faces above express a
universal language that no matter where we are on earth
… can be seen, felt and understood. A smile transcends
all barriers and as expressions of Love, can be
communicated by and to all.
I like to occasionally patronize two friends who own
local Chinese and Mexican restaurants and even though
our conversations may be limited, their radiant smiles
shine through always.
I just happened to think of that and it is very sweet. : )

I wasn’t going to post today, but with the loss of the Titan and subsequently more unrest in Russia , it is so important to include EVERY man in our prayers to see only the perfect idea that is Gods son. That no material act can destroy this Truth. All men are eternal, deathless, upright and free. Error cannot become alarming or increase. It is always nothing as God , good , is all.❣️
