Defeat delay tactics of the human mind

August 19, 2013 | 5 comments

Are you a procrastinator?
Do you put important projects on hold that you know should be completed now but you come up with endless excuses to do nothing?
If so, it’s time to more successfully defeat the delay tactics of the human mind!
These delay tactics come in many different forms. Laziness, apathy, indifference, and selfishness are a few. These self-absorbed states of the human mind fail to see the merits of getting the job done and reaping the benefits. They are enemies to progress and destroyers of success.
God created you to lead a productive life, and a fun one too!
If an activity is not worthwhile, then it should be axed and left behind. There is no need to fret over something you don’t need to do anyway. But if it is a worthwhile activity, then it has its proper place in the scheme of things, and will occupy a line item on your “to-do” list and will get done without being perpetually put off.
Be wiser than the error that is mesmerizing you into doing nothing when you should be doing something! It’s not natural to halt, wait and stagnate. Those are deathly ways of thinking.
Life is about up and doing. If you have something important to do, then it’s time to get the job done! God will bless you for following through.

  1. WHOA! Does this meet my need! Handcrafters joke amongst themselves about their oldest unfinished project, and it’s really not funny. Thank you for the right words to help me overcome this unnatural reluctance to move ahead!

  2. WOW!, Evan, this is one for the road. I fight whenever I run into this temptation. Just last night I worried sick, no sleep, took care of it this morning. All worked out alright. OH, GOD! when will I really learn your powerfulness will always bring positive solutions? It’s a human thing that all of us has to master and with C/S on board, we shall.
