Enjoy being a reflection

November 13, 2020 | 21 comments

One of the freeing concepts Christian Science teaches is that man reflects God.

If you look in a mirror, the reflection in the mirror moves in accord with the object in front of the mirror. The two are in perfect sync.

God is good. Man reflects the goodness of God.

God is wise. Man reflects the wisdom of God.

God is healthy. Man reflects the health of God.

As reflection, man is whole and complete, with no lack.

As an immortal child of God, you reflect God. You are healthy, whole and perfect.

Enjoy being God’s reflection today!

  1. yes!!!thank you……i love the “enjoy” part……we often tend to be too serious and leave out the expectatio of joy…….so important …thank you evan…….love to all

    1. Alex, I too can seem to get very serious and heavy. Thanks for “the expectation of joy.” Joy and light heartedness is our natural state and true nature as we go on expressing Divine Mind.

“This is the day the Lord hath made, let us REJOICE and be glad in it.” (Psalms 118:24)

Evan, thanks for two posts today, double the good ideas to ponder! Blessed weekend to all!

  2. “And God saw everything that He had made and behold it was very good.” … and God is beholding, [reflecting upon] His Man-ifestation and we are very good.

    1. What a fun and truth-revealing play on words!
Thanks Fay, and eternal gratitude to Evan for his gifts of inspiration.

  3. Thank you Evan! Just what I need this morning. I will rejoice all day today knowing that I am God’s reflection!❤️

  4. Thank you Evan, and thank you Alex,
    Yes!
    Enjoy!
So often we are care worn by the human trials which so readily beset us.
We do have to look up from our human dwelling place and see the promise of divine Life, Truth and Love.
Right here and now divine ever presence and joyous inheritance is ours by reflection! ♡

  5. Everything that exists is the expression of God…we know and hold fast to this as much as we can every day….but I appreciate being reminded to ENJOY the experience too. After all God is HAPPY with His Idea…you and me❣️

  6. I like that you referred to us looking in the mirror as an object. The words “object lesson” stood out to me in the lesson last week on “Adam and Fallen Man” S&H P.214:9-10 “Adam, represented in the Scriptures as formed from dust, is an object-lesson for the human mind.”

The body is not our identity, our being. It’s a faint/limited symbol of our immortal nature as God’s expression.

  7. Thanks, Evan! This perfectly goes with a song that came to me this morning called “Child of God” by Mindy Jostyn from her album Coming Home. Sorry I not able to send a link; maybe you all are familiar with it. The whole album is good! What a reflection Mindy is!

    1. Thank you Evan for this Reflection Reminder. It is One and one. God and each of us right
      together.
      And
It would be so good to hear Mindy Jostyn’s music.
Is it out there somewhere on the Web as a link, so others could hear it?

  8. Thank you Evan for this fresh spiritual view of ourselves. I love that we truly ARE in sync with the Lord of our Lives. That means we are in perfect sync with all of God’s beautiful and creative attributes. So today I’m rejoicing that we’re all in perfect sync with newness, with freshness, with vitality, and usefulness. Today and always!!

  9. Thank you EVAN and all for the healing TRUth expressed.. So very greatful for this wonderful THUTH expressed by all..

  10. Thank you dear Evan for our true reflection of our all good Father-Mother God. I am glad and happy about this Truth. And yes, I am reminded on the end of the first Chapter in Genesis where “God saw what He has made, and behold it was very good”. And Mrs. Eddy says in SH that man is idea the image of Love, divine Love. So as Evan utters here, man can only reflect a l l the goodness of God!♡

  11. The idea of being a reflection of God was introduced to me a while ago but I had forgotten it.
Nothing can interrupt or change the image and its reflection.
    thank you.
