Enjoy a satisfying life

Are you playing out the role of a satisfied immortal or an unsatisfied mortal? There is a big difference!

One of the greatest blessings spiritual mindedness offers is genuine satisfaction with one’s role and place with God.

With God, there is no lack. Life in God is overflowing with love, substance, meaning, value, worth and purpose. Living according to God’s plan of Life in Spirit is a genuinely satisfying experience.

To demonstrate this type of satisfaction, though, it’s critical to understand that success is not measured in material terms, per how much money you make, how famous you are or how big your house is. Success is spiritual mindedness, peace of mind, feeling close to God, and contentment with spiritual status.

The unsatisfied thought is mortal mind trying to find success through material ways and means. It yearns for more money, wishes others would act differently, stresses about not having enough time, fears the future, and is always coming up short in something that feels important. And this is because matter cannot deliver a state of existence that generates genuine long term permanent satisfaction.

Spirit is what satisfies!

So, set yourself up for living a life of genuine satisfaction. Put your hopes in Spirit. Seek spiritual goals. Work toward spiritual ends. Enjoy your present relationship with God that is whole and complete in all ways.

You don’t have to acquire something material or a status in this world before you can be satisfied. You can be satisfied now! Be happy with what God is doing for you already. Rejoice in the completeness you possess as a beloved and eternal child of God.

It doesn’t get any better than it already is with God! Each moment is your opportunity to accept this fact and enjoy it.

“…godliness with contentment is great gain” I Timothy 6:6, KJV.

  1. Yes ofcourse Spirit, another name for God, is the source of our happiness and not a person, place of thing, As Mrs.Eddy says “Happiness would be more readily attained and more secure in our keeping if sought in Soul (a synonym for God).” Hymn No. 263 brings out so clearly this fact that God, Spirit alone satisfies us with lasting happiness and peace.
Quote”Only God can bring us gladness only God can give us peace; Joys are vain that end in sadness, Joy divine shall never cease. Here from prisoning pain and sorrow have we all a sure release, Only God can bring us gladness only God can give us peace.”
Feeling the loving presence of God takes you to a totally different high. When I had a festered finger and was in terrible pain and agony, my Practitioner told me, “My dear you can only feel the loving presence of SOUL, God which is a pleasing sensation and not a painful one.” I went and quietly pondered on what she said and I did feel that pleasing presence of God which is beyond words, A most wonderful calm, which transported me to a heavenly place. Soon after the healing followed and I was totally free of the festered finger.
So grateful Evan for bringing this inspiration today.

  2. “My dear, you can only feel the loving presence of Soul, God which is a pleasing sensation and not a painful one”….what a heavenly message! Thank you Evan, and Nargis!

  3. Thank you. This is always a message that needs to understood and practiced for me. It just so easy to fall into a view of lack or limit.

  4. I am greatly satisfied with my life, now at 78. I didn’t feel always like this but after becoming a student of CHRISTIAN SCIENCE when I was only 28, the study of which built up a sense of satisfaction that nothing before could accomplish.

  5. I’m going to print this out and tape it to the inside cover of my Bible or S&H and read it every morning. As Josef says, it’s so easy to fall back into viewing ourselves as lacking or limited. But reading this every morning will remind me to stay with a spiritual viewpoint instead. Thanks Nargis, Jill, Grace, and Tobias for your helpful comments too!

  6. Thank you Evan, perfect timing ,message and solution for today. So easy to judge , but such a complete deadend .. Thanks for the re-boot.

  7. ” Enjoy your present relationship with God that is whole and complete in all ways.” What a comforting, healing thought. Thank you so much for this, Evan. A perfect Valentine’s gift!

  8. I can only hope that I am making greater progress. Feeling wrapped in God’s love, protection, and care promotes completeness and true satisfaction.
