Feeling Well is not a Fluke

While praying with a man to recover from a painful sickness, he called one day and exclaimed, “Wow! I feel so well today. I don’t know what happened. But I feel great!”

He hadn’t felt well in so long, he was surprised to be pain free. But he also feared it was a fluke. Pain had been so typical for him, that feeling healthy seemed like a dream-state.

I reminded him that being well was correct, not a fluke, and that he needed to accept it as normal and natural to solidify the healing. He did, and stayed free.

This happens often though. People get so trained into believing suffering is normal, that when they feel well, they think it’s going to be short lived. They fear reversal, and unfortunately, reversal occurs.

But we must be wiser! Reversal of healing progress is not necessary.

It’s normal to feel well. That’s the way God made you. There is no law of God to sustain suffering. God’s laws of health enforce health and wellness.

Live under God’s laws and be free. This is your divine right.

It’s not a fluke to get well. It’s normal to be healthy.

  1. Right! Just the reminder I needed to read tonight! Can’t thank you enough! LOVE this site – and your emails! Treasures! Thank you!

  2. “It’s normal to be healthy”. Amen! Isn’t that what Jesus proved in his daily walk? Love this, Evan, thank you…

  3. I, as Mrs Eddy hoped that people will understand and recognize that the abnormality of man is not being well, but being sick. Since God is too pure to behold illness, man, his image and likeness is also too pure to even think of illness less experience it.

  4. Thanks for this! It can be hard to adjust thought to accept God’s blessings of health when you have had long-term issues. Hard to see what’s REALLY “normal!”
