How others treat me is their path; how I react is mine.

  1. Forgiveness is composed of two words. “For” and “give”….Yet its easier to “give” but difficult to “Forgive”. But if we realize that the “forgiver” stands to gain the most good, then it becomes very easy to forgive.
Most importantly the “Forgiver” gains peace of mind, Its natural when you give up hurt feelings and angry thoughts and let go..you save yourself from much pain and gain freedom.
Secondly “Forgiveness” is an attribute of LOVE (another name for GOD). By expressing love and forgiveness we feel the power and presence of GOD’s Love more in our life. Gods love is divine, supreme, blissful and removes all ailments, problems, challenges from our life. Well if we want to be in God’s team we need to forgive and even forget. Forgiveness is incomplete if we keep rehearsing the hurt in our consciousness.
As a child it was ingrained in my thought.”Its human to err but divine to forgive.” Its like getting a promotion in your spiritual progress if we forgive and forget.
Forgiveness becomes effortless and easy if we understand and realize the true nature of “man” as God’s pure and perfect reflection. If we do so, then we see the unreality of error. “Man is and forever has been God’s reflection. God is infinite therefore ever present and there is no other power nor presence.”
Thanks Evan for the much needed reminder of “Forgiveness”.

  2. Yes, thank you Nergish for your inspiring comment.
Thank you Evan for the reminder to forgive.

Today I can forgive better than decades ago; and I am grateful for that progress.

But the funny thing is, that ofttimes I am the one, who hopes, people and friends forgive me for my anger I expressed because of something I did not find right.

I am sure they forgive me, and thats a good feeling, too, that heals.
I also can go to the Lord`s Prayer where it says: “and Love is reflected in love”, after after we asked for forgiveness.

That is a promis of healing the situation.

We can be very grateful for the extremely valuable pearl of Christian Science 😉

  3. Uta Very good advice, I was struggling with some guilt over how I responded to some family members in the past so it was just what I needed this morning thank you Uta, It was just what I needed to hear

  4. This is unfamiliar
    territory.
    I must ask for forgiveness
    in all directions.
    The pain in my body
    is reflecting my thoughts
    and emotions,
    Both have been excruciating.

    God and God alone
    is the refuge I now
    seek.
I have no power, all power
    is God’s,
    I have no love,
    all Love is God’s,
    I have no life,
    all Life is God’s.

    I can forgive myself
    for the cause of my
    problems is illusion,
    not True being.
    I have been worshiping
    idols, the idols of
    myself, my personality,
    my vanity, arrogance and
    sense of personal control.
I, by my own dreaming hand,
    have separated myself from
    God,……. and now with
    only prayer and humility
can I turn my heart and
    prayers to God and pray
    for His/Her demonstration
    of Truth and Love.

    Thy son returns to the
    path leading home,
    may Thy guidance and
    protective Love be
    with me….. upon the
    altar I place my entire
    Being, in Thy hands,
    and Thy hands alone
    dear Lord…..
    Thy Will is done…..

    1. Hello Maximo,
I’m troubled to hear about the extreme pain you are feeling at this time, both mentally and physically. A person cannot get much lower in spirit than this.

A verse in scripture that has carried me along during trying times may be helpful to you too. Here it is: “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:6)

Sometimes this is about all we can do, and be silent inside while we wait for a word from the Lord.

From what you are saying above it sounds like you may already be following this good Bible advice.

God is love and God’s love, realized through his Son’s presence within you (within all of us at the same time) will never fail you nor forsake you. .

      1. Gary… Thank you so much….
My spirits are good and you describe waiting upon the Lord, perfectly. It’s exactly how I feel

  5. Reminds me of Jesus, answering Peter, his disciple, when he asked how many times he must forgive?

” Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” Matt 18: 22
