God is the I and you are the AM

May 23, 2014 | 6 comments

God told Moses that He was the great I AM.

Christian Science explains that God and man are intimately one, without separation.

In the context of God’s message to Moses, that means that God is the “I” and man is the “AM.”

This is a powerful healing truth to take through your day. See God as the “I” and yourself as the “AM” in everything you do.

I AM capable of doing good work.
I AM strong and well.
I AM intelligent.
I AM full of purpose, worth and value.
I AM happy.
I AM healthy.
I AM alive!

Whatever God is in Truth, you are in expression.

Enjoy your day with the ever-capable I AM!

  1. Thank you Evan! I looked up a definition of TO BE in Webster’s. Here are a few: to become; be done;, Gk phynai : to be born, be by nature; phyein, to produce; to equal in meaning; to have the same constitution as; to have identity with….All verbs, no nouns. God as a verb, and us living the verb…pretty radical thought,
Again thanks for getting thought moving at the start of my day way across the planet from you.

  2. Thank you for this post and the comments! Some years ago, there was an article in the Christian Science Journal about the word ‘God’ as a verb in its original meaning. I was awed by this concept, and I made verbs of all the nouns I could think of as God. It is a concept that gave me much food for thought for many months! I shall again ponder these ideas!
    Thank you so much!

  3. I am thinking of our closeness to God, our creator. There is no space between. Where we are, he is. The great I Am is present and dependable.

    1. What a wonderful way to keep God close in thought. Thank you so much for this blog. It really touches me!
