    you for all your healing posts in SpiritView – and to all who contribute. They are very precious.

    We do have a Thanksgiving Service in the U.K., but we do not have the same kind of celebrations that you have in the U.S. I wish everyone a very happy thanksgiving season and many blessings to you Evan, and all our SpiritView family, your families and friends. love, Maggie

  4. Thank you Evan, gratitude is indeed riches and complaint impoverishes our sense of well-being.

    As Maggie said we have Thanksgiving and Harvest Festivals at churches and in schools here in the UK, then our main focus is Christmas.

    Each of these wonderful occasions is a celebration of, “And Love is reflected in love” S&H p17

    How wonderful to have this global spiritual community of sharing, our collective Spirit View(s).

  12. Gratitude refocuses our eyes on God and His generosity instead of thinking only of ourselves and our wants. I am extremely grateful to God for helping me by lifting me out of the possible ramifications that could have occurred after having made a poor decision out of a sense of fear and lack.
    The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him. Psalm 28:7
    Bless the Lord O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!     Whatever seems to be the material picture….good or bad…there’s no doubt that it is gratitude for every bit of good we see, feel or do that will break through every doubt or fear as awareness of Gods all encompassing Love is unstoppable.

George Washington requested of Congress for “a day of public thinaksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowleging with grateful hearts the any signal favors of Almighty God to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficient Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be”. This brings to mind the CS Hymn, “A grateful heart a garden is where there is always room; For every lovely, God-like grace to come to perfect bloom. Gratitude is constant acknowledement of God’s grace. It is the “thank you” for prayers answered, God’s protection, constant supply which is always met, etc. Thanksgiving, or gratitude, is daily for the acknowledgement of God’s goodness, allness, and oneness.

Even if we never get the chance to meet “in person” we are spiritual friends in a deep way in our hearts, and that means a lot to me. I don’t know many Christian Scientists that I interact with in daily life, and that makes this community even more special. Thank you dearly!

  21. Oh so important “giving Thanks” to God!
    If I imagin, and that’s the Truth of man, that I express all the 7 synonyms for God including Substance and Intelligence, I have all reason to kneel down and thank God for the richness of qualities He gives to His loved whole spiritual creation including man. Thank you God that I and my brothers and sisters are wonderfully made, wonderful are Your works! ♡
