This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Ps 118:24 The King James Bible
Thanks Evan for sharing the message and Uta for the confirmation.
Thank you, Evan! I was thinking about how to acknowledge that Today is the Best Day and I realized that one of the ways to do that is to understand that Now is the only time we really have and that since God is Ever-Present as Truth and Love, then each Day, each second, each moment, has to be the God-Presence and has to Be All Good and All Love. I think the only way is to lift thought from the material misconception of life and to live out from the Truth of Life, God, being Spirit and then knowing that I live in Spirit as a spiritual idea, always and only experiencing Joy, Completeness, Peace and Love! What a Concept!
I was talking to my husband about using fear or procrastination to push us over the finish line and how it does not work and is so hard to do and how strong there is a belief in the power of evil. To get him past this depression he was having we came to conclusion as we have many times: to just begin each day, one foot in front of the other, and focus on the present, what is in front of us. We also talked about the years of going about it, afraid to let go of the fear, thinking we won’t get anything done and how everything fell into place without any help from fear but by just paying attention to what was in front of us and making the best intelligent choices we could. We can’t talk together about God but we can look at our blessings and how we go about living.
Talking with your husband sounds challenging Nadine, and I love the inspirations you found to share about paying attention (being a noticer) of what was in front of you to DO, making the best choices right then. The noticing what’s in front of view helps widen the perception of all that’s good right then. Takes practice, but it works to expand thought and vision including ALL the good there is, leaving no room for fear. Sort of like riding a bike takes faith, to stay balanced, but with practice, there’s an abundance of balance. Ever, good.
Most of today’s religious beliefs are based on punishment from God if not obeyed. This is exact opposite of what God is and that’s LOVE. LOVE, GOD doesn’t punish. It uplifts day after day after day. As we understand that our days get greater and greater.
I was having a conversation a few months ago with a person who asserted that “NOW is the best time to be alive and all of the people that look to the past longingly just don’t get it”. This person was not a Christian Scientist and was just making this statement based on the benefits we have available to us today due to technological advances. At first I disagreed since I too was in the camp of people that believed the “good ‘ole days” are behind us (i.e. everything was better 30-40 years ago). But then I realized that thinking that way is an “error” that I needed to correct because thinking that way will result in negative consequences for me today.
As a Christian Scientist I’m learning to base all reasoning on the fact that God, good, is the only Cause and Creator. If we reason from that standpoint, we have to conclude that right “now” we have all good available to us and we are constantly held in God’s love (the love of Love). This idea has helped me correct the belief that things were better “back then”. But more importantly, it has made me realize that I have never been, nor can ever be, separated from God, Love. And that is true for everyone, always. That idea has also been helpful in freeing myself of the belief that I can be scarred from bad things that happened in my past. Those “bad things” are just illusions that never really touched my true identity (the identity that God maintains about me). Basing my thinking on the truth that I’m always at one with God has 1) helped me eliminate negative thoughts about my past from my thinking and 2) made me realize that there can never be a time when I can be separated from all of the good God provides to me (i.e. I have all of God’s good available to me right now…always have…always will)!
Thank you, Evan! I too have been thinking about how to acknowledge that Today is the Best Day and so appreciated Bevi’s comment “that Now is the only time we really have and that since God is Ever-Present as Truth and Love, then each Day, each second, each moment, has to be the God-Presence and has to Be All Good and All Love…… Being Spirit and then knowing that I live in Spirit as a spiritual idea, always and only experiencing Joy, Completeness, Peace and Love! Yes, and then continue the sentence with …, because every day is God`s day!
This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

“Now is the only time we really have…” I really like that. So true, but I’ve never thought of it that way. Thanks Bevi!

Thanks Evan and everyone for the inspiration. It helped me this morning. (=

Dear Tobias, you quote God is Love. Temptation to let in anything else is BARRED, by knowing all there is really is Love, LOVE, more LOVE!!!
