Happy New Year

January 1, 2016 | 20 comments

A New Year is upon us and an old one is rapidly fading into the past. Time is that way. It keeps whizzing ahead like an asteroid zipping through space with no intent to stop and or return to places left behind.

But God’s good always remains the same! And this is the key point to remember as one looks ahead and forms expectations for tomorrow.

Years come and go, but God is always present.

Passing time never leaves anything good behind. And there’s no reason to fear for the future. God’s is omnipresent good, present in every moment, in every space, place, in every minute, day, and year.

You have only God’s good to look forward to in the New Year! And it is boundless. It is without limit. And it’s yours to enjoy despite all time to come.

With God, there is no time, just goodness here and now. Expect this to be the daily reality of your New Year, and enjoy each moment along the way.

Happy New Year!

  1. “Thou crownest the year with thy goodness …” Psalm 65:11
“God’s love encircles the year as with a crown; each month has its gems, each day its pearl…” Charles H. Spurgeon.

Wishing dear Evan, and the Spirit View family:

    2 New hopes
    0 New joys
    1 New beginnings
6 God’s encircling love and goodness.

  2. My New Year resolution is to read this inspiring post each morning and join in the universal good thought which sends a healing wave around the globe. Thank you Evan (and everyone) for letting your light shine!

  3. Thank you Evan and Happy New Year to you and all! Words cannot express how grateful I am for all the spiritual guidance and inspiration you provide daily through Spirit-view. Looking forward to ” New views of goodness and Love” in 2016.

  4. Instead of “HAPPY NEW YEAR,” which is only a mortal measurement of time, how about “HAPPY UNFOLDMENT,” which is a new idea of immortality and foreverness which time can never give.

  5. Your blogs throughout 2015 have kept me spirituality minded and I look forward to reading them daily. They correct my thought and keep me balanced.

Thank You so much for keeping us together in our ever present needs.

  6. A NEW YEAR’S THOUGHT

“Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring out the false, in the true.”
So sing the joy bells at this New Year’s tide,
And in those words, to each and all,
There comes a message echoing far and wide.

Ring out the pride, the hatred, and self-will,
The thoughts of malice which contain
The poison that doth sting and wound and kill,

And let the love of self no longer stay,
Deny it, and declare it naught,
Then, to the love of Christ it will give way.

Ring in the thoughts of peace, good-will, and love,
The love for God and man alone,
And on our hearts will rest the heavenly dove.

O may this message ringing from the tower,
Be heard by all ! And let us then,
Not only once a year, but every hour
“Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring out the false, ring in the true.”

    — MARY LILIAS BEST.

  8. Happy New Year, SpiritViewFans! And a Big Hug to you, Evan, for helping to lead our grateful group into paths of Truth and Love!

Here’s a reminder from S&H, (which you no doubt have already looked up):

“Year. A solar measurement of time; mortality; space for repentance.
“One day is with the Lord as a thousand years.” (II Peter iii. 8.)

One moment of divine consciousness, or the spiritual understanding of Life and Love, is a foretaste of eternity. This exalted view, obtained and retained when the Science of being is understood, would bridge over with life discerned spiritually the interval of death, and man would be in the full consciousness of his immortality and eternal harmony, where sin, sickness, and death are unknown. Time is a mortal thought, the divisor of which is the solar year. Eternity is God’s measurement of Soul-filled years.
    S&H 598:19-2

Onward to new vistas and accomplishments!
